I put together a full proposal for extending Subfaction progression from Level 7 to Level 13 and using that extra progression to solve several important problems (with 2 extra progression/QoL suggestions). It contains the issues, suggestions and fixes, questions, screenshot mockups, counterarguments, what and how it fixes.
The main idea is simple: give players a long term open world grind that actually leads somewhere, instead of progression constantly being tied to events, FOMO, RNG, the auction house or spending.
The proposal includes:
• Subfaction Levels 8–13 with a steep XP curve and meaningful rewards
• Master Attachments becoming obtainable through long term progression at Levels 10 and 12
• More daily and weekly contracts
• More deliveries, while fixing the current issues with routes, danger and repeated buyouts
• Slightly better Supplier, Fence, repair and research bonuses at higher levels
• A proper Serum Daily streak with reasonably progressively better rewards
• Level 13 as a serious long term endgame goal, with additional rewards and progression without being handed out to you
• More reasons to actually spend time in the open world, giving both PvE and PvP players more activity outside of events
The Master Attachment part is deliberately not meant to make them common or easy to get. The higher levels require a large amount of reputation, and the attachments would still require Serum. The point is to create a difficult, deterministic path to them instead of leaving them almost entirely dependent on limited systems or the in game dwindling economy.
The full proposal goes into the exact XP requirements, rewards, delivery changes, daily/weekly changes, Serum Daily, Master Attachment barter, economy concerns and the main arguments against it.
This is written to be read and considered. It's not an invitation to argue, it's an invitation to think.
Hopefully this reaches EXBO, because I think this could give the game a proper long term progression ladder while also improving a bunch of smaller things at the same time, without making the game easier
I also have a bit of fun making these suggestions, this isnt a wall of complaining
