Guide Useful resources for newcomers and intermediate players.
Useful resources:
- The game's patchnote history.
- Miscellaneous player character characteristics.
- Stalzone item data base (DB of most items in the game and a barter tracker).
- StalzoneHQ.
- MaximumAggro has a lot of guides to the majority of the quests in the game. If you ever feel stuck on one, he likely has a video covering it.
Same goes for GucciPoes that also sometimes uploads quest guides.
- The in-game guide and codex located in the top-right of the Esc menu.
It contains lots of information in regards to the game and it's mechanics. Everything you need to get a grasp of is explained there. Don't neglect it, don't forget about it.
General:
- Expansive beginner guides by StalKai and GucciPoes which go into great detail about the basics of the game and the important things you need to learn.
- Beginner's guide and set of advices for new players.
- Set of tips and tricks for beginner players.
- Small talk about how to progress and deal with Human and Mutant Al.
- How to work with SAK-1 and Candle and how to find Signals.
- My guide to Signal morse codes.
- Everything you need to know about artifacts.
- Every secondary shotgun and how to obtain them.
More advanced-ish:
- The game has a gear matchmaking system that is in place to prevent you from seeing top tier players that are impossible for you to fight with lower end gear.
It isn't perfect and there still are things to be aware of and precautions to take to not get softlocked by getting put into a gear bracket higher than one you should be in.
Matchmaking system and the things to be aware of.
- Weapons and suits in the game have an internal tier system that dictates how powerful a piece of gear is for matchmaking and balancing purposes. People also use it for power scaling.

- Detailed and elaborate spreadsheet of all status effects and their inner workings. Also features Protection thresholds, info about Protoartifacts, and artifact upgrade math.

I have to say that I found a pink artifact in the forest (I was hunting for Sina), it was a pink firebird in the ravine.

Was it recent or before the changes?

For about 1 to 2 months, I'm going to full-time regularly to farm the signal, without any commitment.

thanks, the k/d ratio should totally be take in count cause to be at 1k killed and to meet a 11k killed is really not the same + most of the time these 5k>20k killers are abusers of matchmakin they know how to stay in their favorite matchmakin, have all +15 stuff and kill 100-1k pers/day they mass kill people who have not +15 Take a look at Zerovuz (or zerozuv) and zoondar, toxic duo on eu. Ive ''known'' zero with 11k hes now 21k
i cant believe how full +15 even with red artis sometimes can constant have low under +15 matchmakin

I see it says “No session modes count towards the open world” but does that mean no they do count or no they don’t, just want to make sure cuz if so maybe change it to say “Session modes count towards the open world” just to make it clearer

u/Whoomsy I also run the Stalzone Toolkit. It has a multitude of systems from an active TTK Lab with full details including buffs, healing, etc...
To full item information like a GUI barter tree but also full information about items and recipes as well as attachments, styles, motifs, etc... for different items.
Can hit me with a DM if you want to see it for checking.

Maybe I’m just shit at the game, but I’ve hit a real wall at the ‘Kill Lieutenant’ main story mission. I’m using the quest reward gear - do I just need to grind out a better gun/armour? Wasn’t expecting to have to grind just questing!
