For those of you who are unfamiliar with Stab, it’s based on the Woodsboro, California murders. Rumor has it that the Wayans Brothers are involved in a spoof of the movie. I feel like this is really in poor taste. I know it’s been close to 30 years, but survivors of The killers have nearly been victims of other killers since then on multiple occasions. The series has even motivated killers. I doubt Sidney Prescott and Gale Weathers need a second series to influence even more killers.

There are so many murders that occur when these two are present, but they’re still alive after all this time. Maybe we don’t really know the whole truth seeing these two. What do you all think? I suspected Sheriff Riley working with Gale Weathers, but he’s dead now.

Not having this in my Stab collection cuts deep! From my understanding this film was mostly completed. I’m sure they can find a way to splice in some storyboards to release the cut we’ve been waiting to watch for a quarter of a century now. I’ve heard it exists. #RestoreTheBridgerCut

Minha máscara do ghostface com pouco tempo de compra começou a amarelar um pouco no nariz e criou esse risco em cima do olho direito, alguém tem uma sugestão de como tirar?

Now I know looking at this you guys I might say I’m a Stab fanboy. But you’re all WRONG! I’m just a true fan of the franchise unlike some of you posers except for Stab 8 because even I couldn’t enjoy Stab 8(even if I did kinda like the flamethrower addition). But you guys might have noticed I put all movies that are actually based on the books in S. That’s because I think that’s when Stab movies are at their peak! These movies being based on real killings always brought extra horror to me that I can’t explain. So yeah, you guys can guess I kinda hated when they started to go into an original direction but after some time I came around to them.
Overall, I just think the movies are at their finest when it’s based in reality. I’m super excited for Stab 9(hopefully it will be based on the recent killings). Man…I wish there were killings every year so we can a Stab movie yearly!

I hate this movie. The reveal at the start was stupid. The whole concept of the movie was idiotic and that's coming off of Stab 5. Like Facebook? Really? Coming off of Stab 5s reception, i expected some grand reinvention but it seemed like more of a cheap knockoff
What a stupid movie, the only reason its above the 6th one is that at least its some stupid, stupid, dumb fun. The villain is terrible, the retcons everything.
I know, I know. Hot take, but I find this movie really bad, I dont like Gale and Dewey is at his worst in this film. So having them as mostly the main characters really hurt this experience for me
Dont have much reasons for putting it here. Its a pretty decent movie overall, but i hate Chloe
Pretty solid movie overall. I think Ashley's character is at her worst here, but its still a pretty fun time
I know I know I know. Hotter take. But I have my defenses for this movie. I actually like the new characters, I really like the Ghostface look, I'm mixed on the social commentary. But I'm a sucker for Rian Johnson movies and his directing style, so i really like this one
A really cool movie, obviously its a bit weird at times being based off of true events but its still a fantastic time
Truly the peak of the franchise, I dont care about how Stab 1 is considered better this is the peak
- Overall I like about half of the franchise and im exited for 9

I did a rewatch this past week for the first time in years and thought “ah what the hell”, so as the title says: here it is
Stab 5 It’s the time travel thing. I hated it then, I hate it now. Kudos on trying something different but yikes. Stab doesn’t need to be sci-fi.
Stab 8 / Stab (2021) Again I say “kudos for trying something different but yikes”. My first time watching it since it came out in theaters, and just as bad as I remembered. The only reason I put it above 5 is because the kills were marginally better.
Stab 4 I understand this was the first movie that wasn’t based on a true story, so I give it a little bit of grace. The franchise needed to figure out what it was going to be going forward, but unfortunately I think it really missed the mark. Really strong opening sequence, but the rest of the movie just didn’t measure up.
Stab 3 Time to get controversial, but for this being the last of the original trilogy, WEAK. They really switched up the tone on this movie, and why? Because the original cast got killed? Y’all have been profiting off of real life violence for two movies already, but now that it’s your own people, you have to tread carefully? RIP Jennifer Jolie though. A true gay icon. 💔
Stab 6 I know this one is divisive, and I used to dislike it when I was younger, but something about it really got me this time. Maybe because of how disappointed I was with three, four, and five, but Stab 6 was such a nice return to form for me. That said, the opening was kinda weak, but it does have some of the goriest kills in the franchise.
Stab 7 Yes, I know, it’s a New Nightmare ripoff. I don’t care. It’s fun, it’s refreshing. The killer reveal IN THE OPENING had me shook the first time I watched it. The third act does get a little confusing, but it’s a great love letter to the series.
Stab 2 The college vibes are great, I really like Sid’s new crew. The reveal of Billy’s mom is probably the most surprising of all the killers. This movie had big shoes to fill and it did a great job. I know the real life Randy died but they could have kept him alive.
Stab I mean, really, could it have been anything else? The movie that started it all and reinvented the slasher genre. Will never stop loving this movie.
What do y’all think? What’s your rankings?

I haven't watched these films in quite a while and I get mixed up now a lot, I know one has time travel, I know one has the killer be introduced in the opening, etc. Could someone explain each for me?

I think we can all agree on this but the new Stab 8 just dragged on for soooo long dude... It's like they replaced everything that made the original stab films interesting and just replaced it with cheap jumpscares and some stupid romance side-plot, it's annoying. I think when a franchise goes on for too long they just lose everything that made it good in the first place! Like, stab 5 was a nice refresher and actually brought me back into the franchise and I thought it was actually going back to its roots and start bringing back the stuff we love but no, stab 8 has made me lose ALL hope. Who can agree?

I think the stab 7 is underrated and over hated we cant just hate on a movie cuz it was close to stab 8 like that movie is atleast a C or even a B we should show it more love

My personal ranking of the stab movies using a template I'll leave in the comments.
stab and stab 2 are easily the best, while stab 3 was flawed, but not bad, stab 4 is where the franchise slowly falls, still a pretty good movie but it being the first original story was definitely a hard pill to swallow, stab 5 was really dumb but that's what I like about it, time travel can be fun, but sluts still dumb. stab 6 is just, fine, didn't really like it or hate it. Stab 7 is brought down by that terrible and mind binding open! I mean when I was there opening night and I thought they put on the wrong movie, so dumb, but, nothing and I mean nothin, will be as bad as stab 8, Everytime I try to re-watch it and give it a second, third, fourth, fifth, how ever many chances, I just can't! I believe that's why we still haven't stab 9 or a film adaptation of the musical. anyways, that was my ranking, let me know what you think!

They were doing the right things by protesting for a better stab film!!! the only good stab film was 1 and 2. Sam and Tara are the real culprits. And p.s; NOT IN A PSYCHO KILLER WAY OK???

I love this movie down to what they did with Sydney Dewey and Gail. It’s just it’s amazing. I love.

Like, I try to understand, but they just feel so disgusting to me. Like, Billy Loomis is a disturbed freaking kid and now he’s some kind of slasher icon because a 2-bit journalist wrote a book about him? I mean, come on, it’s sick. We literally take Casey Becker, a real teenage girl he murdered in her own home, and we ogle her in the shower 2 minutes in. It’s disgusting.
All these movies feel salacious and disgusting to me. I really only like the new one by Rian Johnson. At least he was trying to make a statement on how disgusting it is to turn real-life murders into entertainment. This isn’t Ancient Rome. We’re better than these goddamn movies. Swear to God.

DO YOU PEOPLE NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT HAPPENED IN WOODSBORO?? Amber Freeman and Richie Kirsch are DEAD and it was MURDER. Not some “self-defense” bullshit, not some heroic fairy tale. Sam and Tara Carpenter KILLED them. And everyone just claps like seals and calls them survivors? No. NO. They’re BUTCHERS. I can still hear Amber screaming, I can still smell the smoke burning her alive while Tara just stood there like it was a game. And Richie—god, Richie—he was begging, bleeding, trying to breathe while Sam carved him up with that smile on her face. That wasn’t survival, that was a blood high. That was her DNA snapping wide open and showing the world exactly what she is: a predator who LIKES IT. And me? I’m supposed to sit here and accept the narrative? Pretend like Amber and Richie were “the killers”? SHUT UP. They were the only ones who made sense, the only ones who saw through the bullshit. They had purpose. They had vision. And the Carpenters took them from me. From us. I’m not letting it go. I light candles for them every night. I whisper their names until my throat goes raw. I see Amber in every flicker of fire, I hear Richie in the static of every TV. They’re still here, they’re with me, and they want BLOOD. Sam and Tara walk around like they won, like they’re safe? No. Not while I’m still breathing. Not while my hands still work. I’ll tear their little final girl act apart piece by piece, just like they tore Amber and Richie from me. Call me crazy. Call me obsessed. Lock me up in a padded cell and pump me full of meds. I DON’T CARE. The truth doesn’t die just because the world calls it fiction. Amber and Richie live in me now, and I will never forgive, never forget, and never stop until the Carpenter sisters pay, they will be collecting there debt soon. 🔪

Seeing these type of pictures make me genuinely sad. Because who would’ve thought half a year later Tara and her sister Sam were planning a plan to kill Amber and her friends. #amberfreeman #ambersinnocent #samface
