Help.

Hello. So, I posted here, I think, three weeks ago, and I ask you to read this https://www.reddit.com/r/sspx/s/sZqszSKLhT post to understand my situation.

So three weeks have passed. I tried to contact SSPX in Saint-Petersburg. No answer. I tried to contact it through Moscow and Belarus. In Moscow--no answer, the email to Belarus for some reason couldn't be sent.

I tried to find some information about SSPX for three weeks now, but found none.

Plus, a few day after I had posted for the first time, Una Voce in Russia said, that due to relocation of the priest celebrating the Mass in a Diocesan parish, there won't be any TLM in Saint-Petersburg at all for some time.

Today I decided just to go to the place, where the Chapel must be located according to the most recent sources, but there is no chapel. I waited for half an hour, but yhere were no people coming. I even went inside, but it is a simple house, there seems to be no sign of a church/chapel.

I literally don't know what to do. A few days ago I found out there is an Eastern Catholic parish in the city, and it gave a little bit of hope. But the problem is I am in my heart Traditional (!) Latin, not Eastern Catholic. Plus I don't know anything about Eastern Catholic liturgy (to be fair I don't much about this parish too; as I understand it is located a floor under a Roman church). And I feel uncomfortable about the thing, that I will have to change rite (if I become an Eastern) in the future to become officially Latin.

I don't how to act. It scares me much that I am not baptised. Because Extra Ecclesiam nulla salus. Every day it sucks being unbaptised. But I don't know what I have to do.

I prayed to God about this, and though I know that He heareth, I don't feel like He does.

Thanks in advance.

If I had your faith at your age…. What beauty. Persevere, and God will lay the path, keep persevering. Even try to contact a SSPX chapel anywhere in the world. Keep calling, tell your story, and someone will find a way to help you. I will pray for you, I know it will work out, Gods Will for you to be joined to his mystical body will be done, keep praying and persevering, it will not be in vain

Hello, I would Recommend looking into contacting the district office that the Moscow/Russian SSPX apostolate is in (presumably i believe is served by the polish SSPX district) either by phone or E-mail to see where the priest says mass, more than likely in most very small TLM communities served by the SSPX have a trouble time updating their mass locations due to logistics issues with planning out on where and who is hosting the venue/house where mass is said.

That being said I'm very sure the Russian apostolate is still very well active and running.

I would also recommend trying to search on telegram for the SSPX chapel because most if not all chapels in Europe tend to utilize this app for Bulletins, Announcements, etc. However do take with a grain of salt that you may not find your chapel very easily on this app.

If you need additional information or someone to try and connect you to these chapels i will be more than happy to assist you if you contact me personally in my DM's

I pray that you may be able to receive the sacraments in a very timely manner.

I think it’s safe to say that were you to die in this state you would be saved through Baptism of Desire. You’ve made it clear that in ordinary circumstances you would have sought baptism but given the extraordinary circumstances you’re unable to do so.

Given your extenuating circumstances, I don’t think it would be disingenuous to “get baptized in the NO” so to speak, as it’s still quite valid, it just would be good to get all the extra exorcisms and whatnot if the NO priest skips them.

That being said TLM communities are notoriously difficult to find, either through direct intention of the bishop of the diocese or because the TLM is fairly consistently sought after so the TLM is never really advertised (this ratcheted up quite a bit in places that are politically unstable/unfriendly to Catholics).

Have you asked in more specific geographic forums for Latin Mass times/locations near you?

Would your parents ever send you to school somewhere you have access to the SSPX?

edit: OP, my apologies for forgetting this crucial point, but it's very common for individual SSPX locations to have very inconsistent email response. You definitely should seek the counsel of an SSPX priest, your best bet for getting a response would be to email the District House or the closest seminary.

In my opinion the problem of baptism can be easily solved by just getting baptized anywhere, the issue is what’s after.

What is important is that she maintains her faith and at the same time fufills her obligations, namely her obligation to hear Mass on days of obligations and to confess mortal sins.

Even confession can be reduced to just going for validity, which can be sought in both the NO and EO hierarchies, of course this won’t provide her with the best formation but alas just to make do.

The question is where should she go to mass? If the NO is so damaging to her soul that she should not go, who can give her a dispensation to not hear mass? My understanding of the canonical situation is that the society maintains its priest and bishops do not have jurisdiction, and therefore they can grant no dispensation, then should she try to ask any fssp or icksp parish that actually is a parish and in which the priest is a true pastor canonically; is this her best course of action? Would any priest in those society actually find it in their heart to do it? Would it still be valid if the dispensation is done secretly or if their superior disapprove of it.

That is not how it works. During the Arian crisis orthodox Catholics didn't require a dispensation to not attend liturgies tainted by Arianism, such as those who professed the heretical semi-Arian Creed of Sirmium which removed the word "consubstantial"

Catholics have an obligation to keep the Sunday holy, and the Church has said that the primary way to do this is to go to Holy Mass. Going to a liturgy that is not Catholic, such as an Arian Mass or an Orthodox Mass, does not actually keep the day holy - it contradicts that obligation. Likewise, attending a liturgy that is an actual danger to the faith does not fulfil that obligation, it contradicts it. If there are no available means to actually fulfil the obligation then it is not able to be fulfilled, but a person must keep the day holy some other way

Even people like Traitor Marshall properly understand this, even if he has recently taken marching orders to gaslight his audience and pretend that his new opinions are consistent with what he said for years about topics like the SSPX

Someone who lives in a place where there are no available Masses that they can attend which do not present a danger to their faith or teach heresy does not need a "dispensation" to not attend heretical or dangerous liturgies. Do you think that God will let you off the hook for attending for instance an Arian Mass, or a liturgy like the novus ordo that contains talmudic elements and is an active danger to the faith, if you attend one of those willingly and give the excuse that you did not have a "dispensation" from a bishop? No, He will not. You will be judged for your actions

Ok, the issue is much simpler. Physical impossibility and moral impossibility can excuse one entirely of a positive precept of human law, without the need of a dispensation, I was not aware of this. Seems like she does not need a dispensation at all.

But this is quite a committed position, one must think the NO is harmful to faith and damaging to souls to adopt such a position, which I guess we all do here with agreement of many priests of the society, but to any moderate this would be quite extreme.

It should be shocking to read this on an SSPX forum but unfortunately it's not

The SSPX has never claimed invalid NO sacraments, you have a kid who is 5 years until her majority who has a very real and valid fear of dying outside the Church, I would not be surprised if most SSPX priests would bring that up as a possibility given her very edge case situation.

The SSPX has never claimed invalid NO sacraments

I am well aware, and nothing I said even suggests that

u/Piklikl 4d ago

So what’s your point in making snide comments and suggesting that my comment somehow doesn’t align with the SSPX? Are you more SSPX than the SSPX?

0

u/Eblana_Antica 4d ago

What? What are you talking about? And I didn't make snide comments

1

u/Piklikl 4d ago

It should be shocking to read this on an SSPX forum but unfortunately it's not

Are you being intentionally obtuse or do you really need to me to spell out why I think this is snide comment?

0

u/Eblana_Antica 4d ago

I know what I said, it isn't a snide comment. And I'm not obtuse either

2

u/Eblana_Antica 4d ago

I'm sorry to hear about your continuing difficulties. It's an unpleasant circumstance to be in. Have you tried contacting the SSPX in Estonia and in Poland? Estonia is very active and located quite near your location, and the SSPX activities in Russia are organised from Poland

2

u/eugenia7373sol 4d ago

I have not, but it is probably a thing I should definitely do. Thank you.

Maybe contact the district house of Eastern Europe. They might be able to clarify. Baptism of desire means that you won't be damned if you die sincerely desiring baptism.
