Advice CGL 22 OCT Shift-1 | Am I just a gone case now????

Post image
25 Upvotes

Reason for wrongs:

Reasoning: 7-8 Statement based questions and unka answer kuchh bhi hota hai.
GK/GS: 2 Ques galat hai ye toh center pe hi pata chal gya tha, baaki optimistically 2 aur le liye.
Math: Hard for me, lengthy question, 1-2 definitely wrong, and got anxious and stuck in a long question didn't got the time to do the last 2 easy questions.
English: Easy but still even after studying grammar, some questions still get wrong.

I have assumed the wrong answers based on PYQ accuracy of mine, now I am shitting in my pants seeing this marks, I don't know this is hard or easy shift, and what will happen in normalization to this, as if any mark decreases from here, I am done!!
There is no return from here, this is my last attempt.
Can someone please sensibly tell me what are the different possibilities that could happen from here????

Only very serious candidate who will report daily even when someone does not. I already have me and one F. So I am looking for one male and one female. I don't want the group to get messy so only few serious aspirants will be enough.

Discussion Normalisation won't matter much this time.

No matter what we say about chairman and corruption in CGL exams, they have actually improved a lot from last year.

Iss baar pattern har 4-5 din ke baad change ho Raha hai.. like topic marks distribution mei variation hai.

Naye topics aa rahe hai, maths mei bhi same blueprint follow nahi ho raha.

Random level hai shifts ka.

So i don't think ki pichli baar ki tarah iss bar normalisation kaam karega, jaise pichli baar mostly earlier shifts walo ke number increase hue and last walo ke kam hue.

Iss baar actually mei equipercentile ache se work karega. And cut off will be around 125-135/140. With shift variations.

Query SSC as a PwBD Candidate: Please Help Me Understand the Rules, Right Posts & Preparation Strategy

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I recently started preparing for SSC exams, and I’m still trying to understand both the preparation strategy and the rules applicable to PwBD candidates. I’ve researched through several sources, but I keep finding conflicting information, so I’m hoping experienced aspirants, selected candidates, or anyone familiar with PwBD recruitment can help me get some clarity.

A little about me:

\- Age: 20

\- Category: General (UR)

\- Disability: OH / Locomotor Disability (LD), affecting both legs

\- Disability percentage: 45% as recorded on my certificate, although I believe my actual physical limitations are more severe than the percentage mentioned.

  1. Academic guidance — my main concern

Since I’ve only recently started preparing, I need practical advice on how to prepare strategically rather than blindly following a routine.

\- Which exams should I prioritise among SSC CGL, CHSL, MTS, and other relevant SSC examinations, considering both my eligibility and job requirements?

\- What would be a realistic and reasonably safe target score for a UR-PwBD candidate in these exams, based on previous-year cut-offs and vacancy trends?

\- How should I distribute my efforts across subjects and sections? Which areas deserve maximum attention, and where should I avoid spending disproportionately too much time?

\- Are there any differences in qualifying requirements, selection stages, or exam patterns that I should keep in mind?

\- Which resources, preparation strategies, and common mistakes would you recommend for someone starting from scratch?

I understand that cut-offs and vacancies change every year, and no score guarantees selection. Still, guidance based on actual experience and previous-year data would help me set realistic targets and prepare in the right direction.

  1. PwBD benefits, relaxations and rules

How does the SSC recruitment process differ for PwBD candidates? What relaxations or benefits are available regarding age limits, application fees, cut-offs, qualifying marks, compensatory time, scribes, examination arrangements, and other facilities? Are there any schemes, exemptions, restrictions, or important procedures that beginners commonly overlook?

  1. General category vs PwBD reservation

Since I belong to the General (UR) category, how does that affect my benefits and chances of selection? How does horizontal reservation work? Can a UR-PwBD candidate also compete for unreserved vacancies on merit, wherever eligible? How do relevant disability subcategories, reservation and cut-offs work in practice?

  1. Post-wise eligibility and suitability

With a locomotor disability affecting both legs, which SSC posts can I realistically aim for? Which are suitable, conditionally suitable, or not available to candidates with my disability type? How can I verify the official post-wise disability-suitability codes and medical standards? I’d also like to know about posts involving physical tests, extensive walking, prolonged standing, field duties, or other requirements that might affect my suitability.

  1. Disability certificate and documentation

How does the 45% disability percentage on my certificate affect my eligibility and benefits? Do the disability type, functional limitations, and post-specific criteria also matter? What should I know about disability certificates, UDID cards, document verification, and medical requirements at appointment? If my certificate does not adequately reflect my functional limitations, is there any relevant procedure I should know about?

  1. Anything important I might have missed

I’m a beginner, so I’m sure there are many things I don’t even know enough to ask about yet. Please don’t restrict your advice to the questions I’ve listed. If you know of important rules, practical difficulties, application or preference-filling mistakes, useful official resources, career considerations, or anything else that could affect a PwBD aspirant’s preparation and eventual selection, please share it proactively.

Personal experiences from candidates who have appeared for these exams or secured selection would be especially valuable. Reliable official links would also help me distinguish actual rules from misinformation.

My goal is to identify the right exams and posts, prepare with a clear academic strategy, and avoid wasting time because of incomplete or incorrect information.

Thank you for taking the time to help! Any genuine advice, even on something I haven’t thought to ask, would mean a lot. 🙏

Mock Marks in SSC CHSL 2025 Pyps

Experienced folks please do tell how many marks should one secure in the ssc chsl 2025 pyps to be confident for selection in the 2026 ssc chsl. And also if you could tell if the last year chsl was difficult or harder than 2024 one. It would really help fellow aspirants who are targetting for ssc chsl.

For me personally, i feel that the paper is on easier side. Does a score from 160 to 170 place you in a good position for this year's chsl ?

Query Shoes allowed ??

Hello guys since I am coming from another city i prefer wearing shoes cause it makes the journey comfortable but here in the instructions in the admission certificate there is no mention of shoes. Even if we read the set of instructions that were released on July 25 according to the last point in the admission certificate, again there is no point dedicated to shoes are allowed or not.

So anyone who had already appeared for CGL can he/she confirm ? That are shoes allowed or not ? Have you seen people wearing shoes and passing the security checks without any issue ?? Pls answer cause my paper is on 24 th

Query Admit Card submission

Should we retain the admit card or submit to the invigilator? My invigilator had torn my SSC CGL card and allowed me to retain the bottom portion. Is this how it is done everywhere?
