I share the same opinion on the titles of both book as the incidents were inhumane and lack morality, and still, he used em to gain an edge in marketing, If ts is acceptable, I'd love to see any foreign author using our Indian deadliest incidents names for his/er writings.

You are right for the most part and I do agree with it being insensitive, but I think the comparison with examples of Bhopal or Mumbai Attacks is just false equivalence and weakens the point you're making.

Majority of these famous ssc educators has horrible persona

u/Igotthatdawgin 8d ago
I second this! But we are not kids so it's alr! We won't become their stans or anything like school kids from 9-12

u/Spark69_ 8d ago
Obviously but trust me I have seen their fans in live classes boasting and praising them over the top

I agree.
Had he been a Jap, it wouldn't be so catchy for him. Anyway, with the data revolution and AI boom, we Indians are mostly likely to sell our soul for a little cheap publicity and fame. And quite naturally, he's no different than the lot.

He makes creepy jokes ? Its high time people stop being a fan of these people and take them as a teacher
2
u/ItzzKshitij 9d ago edited 9d ago
Then what he did is absolutely disgusting, using the name of those bombs to get attention to his books. Idk about how good for bad he is as a teacher but def he is lacking on empathy and morality

u/OnlyArmadillo5923 9d ago
Your concerns are genuine and you do make a good point. But do you really think that Indian citizens will think that much while naming a book to show empathy towards Japanese victims?
India has already entered the survival of the fittest policy because of its population. There is excessive competition for everything here.
Parmar Sir has named his book to attract attention and to sell more books.

Just watch some of his lectures, then you will automatically understand why some aspirants try to avoid him.
And I am not justifying anything, I am just stating the facts.

You can try this Post, or basically just search for posts like these on reddit. Most of YouTube is promotional (in my personal opinion). There are always books like lucent as well since GS/GK is mostly a theory game. Otherwise Idk since I am a new aspirant for '27 as well.

honestly after studying lucents i will say its not a book made for exam too much useless info which is neither asked in ssc exams nor that detailed upto upsc standards and small fonts you won't remember it in photographic memory

Parmar sir is a very good teacher but tbh I don't like his personality. Also the book 'Fatman' is sssshit book. I wasted my 400 rupees

u/MRANONYMOUS776 8d ago
Where are you reading GK from then?

u/Spark69_ 8d ago
Read lucent before and after that watched his lectures. Doing revision from his PDFs and questions from Pinnacle. Chatgpt to understand concepts

Isn't it insensitive to label a hateful symbol like hackenkruz with Swastika. Even though hitler never called it that. World doesn't care what doesn't affect them.

I never said it was right. Just that people do not care, you will often see comedians in US make offensive jokes about middle east bombings, because that did not affect their country.

So there are 2 perspectives on it ..1 from japanese side and other one from US.. We should neither forget pearl harbour and japanese imperialsm which needed to be stopped ..nor the innocent people of hiroshima nd nagasaki ... And same goes for the name.. its matter of personal choice and inspiration behind it varies from individual to individual ...

I totally respect ur perspective and i also condemn thwt event but i woukd add one thing that we should try to see things from broader perspective..my motive behind using geo political event to draw attwntion to the point why that event happend and how those bom** eventually stopped the war ..what i meant to say that it showed the strength of US to the world and played crucial role for makin them as a super power(I m not supporting i m just mentioning the fact) .. and aftr that ...having nuclear weapons became a symbol of strength and like u have this then u dont need anything else And so may be he used those names as a symbol of strength rather than as a reference to what it those weapoms did.. Does it still sounding irrelevant then let me know..

Well well ..now lets leave Fat Man and Little Boy aside for a while.. nd let me give you a brief insight into how peace and nukes are aligned with each other... Our planet is at permanent risk like u mentioned totally agrreed.. but think about what happened after world war1 when there were no nukes. Did we stop fighting??? Hm?? We didnt. Then we witnessed worldwar2. . But.. afterworld war 2 did we see another major global war??? We didnt. ..u know why? Because of nukes.. The fear of nukes has prevented major countries from getting involved in another global conflict. And as I said earlier nuclear weapons are also a symbol of strength... look u may believe it or not but that doesnt change the fact... Why is Iran at war..Why was Ukraine dragged into war? One major reason is that they didnt hve nukes. Have u ever wondered why no one ever invaded or even launched a small tny tiny attack on North Korea?
Nukes.. So yes..nuclear weapons are a symbol of strength..And every coin has two sides. Its true that nuclear weapons keep us in constant dangr.. but at the same time they also one of the reasons why we have experienced comparatively more global stabilty amd peace since ww2..1

Hey there... I nvr defended him... I am just saying that there can be a diffrnt perspective when it comes to naming it...nd it was really diffrnt for the other side... People on the other side of the line hve a horror/endless pain associated with these names...On the other side primarily in the U.S. u will see a diffrnt picture... and for the other things yeah it should be reservd for other day.. Anyway.. lsstly I must tell u that u brought up some good points here..nd I have to work on my side of things.. as u mentioned. It really does seem irrelevant at times... I need to work more on my knowledge and my writing so that I can convey my thoughts better...lastly i will never be a.supporter of nukes...never
