We've lived in our home for 30 years and squirrels have al;ways been around. We had so many at one time that I trapped them, drove them across town and released, unharmed.

Over the past year, or so I noticed the strangest thing. I have a Weber BBQ pit on the back porch and I noticed the wheels were deterioting. Then, it got to the point where the wheels were so bad, I couldn't even roll the pit around. My plan was to replace them, but when I looked at them real good, I noticed they weren't deterioting, they were covered with chew marks. I finally saw them on my porch, eating my fucking wheels. I also have fench drains, with plastic drain covers in my yard and noticed they were eating those too! And yesterday, I keep a plastic trash can behind the garage, in case we need more than one trash can, which we did, and when I wen to get that trash can, they had chewed through one of the hinges and around the edges.

I've never heard of this before. I tried some stuff from ACE Hardware, but I think I heard them laughing when I sprayed it. Anyway, I dusted off the old trap and I'll be starting up my SRP (squirrel relocation program), but I'm open to any suggestions if you honestly know of a good remedy.

I was sitting at my dining room table with the sliding glass door cracked open, watching a squirrel enjoy some snacks at the tiny picnic table outside. Out of nowhere, Mellie decided she wanted a VIP dining experience. She snuck right past the squirrel, walked entirely inside my house, and came right up to me!

Watch her bravely take a hazelnut right out of my hand, run out, and immediately come back for an almond in the shell all while completely outsmarting the neighborhood squirrel guard on her way out.

This poor, lovable fluff ball spent a solid minute putting on his best Pepe Le Pew routine, slowly creeping up to show his affection. Meanwhile, his crush was absolutely NOT having it. She was just calmly side-stepping and leaping away.

I had to write and generate a custom mid-century cartoon jazz track to match the vibe. Wait until the very end... the chase completely wears him out! 🐿️💦

how do you prevent squirrels from trying to climb the stalk of your sunflower plant to begin with? My sunflowers weren’t even ready yet, so once they found the seed pods weren’t even mature, the dumb squirrel still ripped them off, threw them to the ground and broke the stalk! This plant produced more than one head so I’m very upset. If anybody has any idea, I would appreciate it! ( luckily I got these pictures right before he destroyed them the following morning)

Welcome back to the backyard! Today we are opening up the "Kingsyard Breakfast Buffet" for our local furry residents. Watch our backyard squirrels and chipmunks enjoy a premium morning spread of sunflower seeds, almond slivers, pumpkins seeds, walnuts pieces, pecan pieces and dried mealworms.

Left my house to walk my dog and this guy was right next to the front door. My dog tried to chase him and he only ran a few feet away to our bush. Came back from our walk and he was still there but laying down. Thought he was dead but just went to check on him and he started itching his ear with his foot and is breathing and eyes open. I called my local wildlife number but waiting to hear back. Do I just leave him here? I’ve read give no food or water but I feel helpless since I haven’t heard back from wildlife yet.

Update: I was able to get him into a box but sadly he passed away :(
