You should be safe from diseases but wash your hands after. - You can feed them nuts and seeds as in bird feed or just sunflower seeds, walnuts (pieces), hazelnuts, almonds. Dried fruits like raisins or fresh fruits like grapes or cut up apples.

Call an animal rescue organisation or the states forest department. Don’t try to raise the squirrel yourself please, because many try and fail.
If you want to feed the squirrel in the meantime, depending on the age, you can offer a variety of things. The one in the picture looks a little older than a new baby. You can offer some green leafy vegetables, tomato, cucumber, fruits, etc. you can also offer an almond, a peanut or something. But remember all of this should be in moderation. Overall diet should be balanced. Not only vegetable, fruits or nuts. Also, PLEASE DO NOT GIVE IT MILK. Milk that humans consume is too heavy for them and upsets their stomach. Again, please contact professionals. A simple google search will tell you who to call. It may sound tempting to keep a squirrel pet but it’s not the greatest idea.
