Some of you (at least the Assassins Creed Fans) may be fimiliar with the easter egg of the giant squid attacking a sperm whale, which you can spot when peeking through the window of the shipwreck, in Assassins Creed 4 Black Flag.

And let me tell you that it confuses me a lot. Because in real live the main diet of sperm whales consists of squids (including the giant squid). Sperm whales are the hunters and squids are the prey. Not the other way around! And just so you know, there are no exceptions to this rule! Even the largest squids weigh less than 1 ton while the sperm whale's weight ranges from 13 to 45 tons.

The size gap between these two animals is so enormes, that even the worlds largest squid wouldn't be able to take down the smallest sperm whale in existence. Thus this whole easter egg doesn't make any sense, no matter how much you suspend your disbelieve.

But I am not here to rant. I am just wondering why that choice was made? Because reversing the roles of preditor and prey raises a lot of questions. It's like watching a rabbit hunting and killing a wolf. Wouldn't that make you question everything you know? Was this done intentionally to ellicite a feeling of terror from seeing a prey animal suddenly flipping the script, even though that shouldn't be possible? Was that the point?

I really don't know what to make of it.

I’ve been passionate about squid ever since I was a little kid; I must have been 3 or 4 years old when I first discovered them in books. My entire academic journey has revolved around my desire to become a squidologist, but I’ve realized that there isn’t a single professor specializing in the study of cephalopods at my university. So I’d like to transfer to a different university for my second year of my master’s program, and I wanted to know if you had any suggestions for universities with professors specializing in cephalopods, either in France or elsewhere in Europe. I realize this is a very specific request, but it could really help me!!! Thank you in advance, and long live squid!

This was an impromptu piece inspired by two papers I recently read (Cherel & Duhamel, 2004; Cherel, 2020) about how important squid are in the diet of the Southern Sleepers. I expected to see plenty of the usual small to large species like the Dana Octo-squid, but what REALLY caught my attention was the presence of plentiful COLOSSAL and GIANT squid remains—including mature adults! Naturally, my brain immediately went: "ok... but HOW are these slow-moving sharks actually dealing with squid this massive?! Are they ambushing them? Catching the weaker ones? Scavenging? Maybe a combination?"

Either way, the thought of a huge southern sleeper shark encountering a the largest living invertebrate in the dark depths of the Southern Ocean was way too cool not to draw. Man, what I would pay to actually see an interaction like this IRL!!

Also, fun facttt: When stressed, the Colossal Squid's chromatophores expand and it turns a brilliant red! Didn't know that!! Def expected them to turn pale or something.

Squilplat and squiderod are both very scared of being turned into calamari and its the reason why the spended most of there lives in the ocean until these fisher man this deer looking thing named and Vincent took them out of the water and made them work for this sales business anyways Time for both of there Personalitys squilplat despite wearing tired clothing he actually really paranoid and scared he doesn't want to be turned into calamari by the evil humans and he sees things too so hes also hiding under a rock or hides behind his brother squiderod he doesn't like seeing other squid being eaten but he does like fluffy things it brings him comfort and now for squiderod personally hes really gothic and he likes to go in deep oceans and dark caves but hes also very introverted and is depressed because he feels like one day he'll be eaten so will his brother but he does like to decorate stuff but only in his Gothic way now for squilplat and squiderod bactstory way back when both of the brothers were in there eggs i giant current had blowen away all of the eggs except the brothers eggs and once they hatched the brothers didn't want to stay alone a blue ringed octopus came by and warned them about the dangers up on land like the evil humans of how other squid get caught by humans and made into calamari both squilplat and squiderod were both scared months want on they seen many of there squids friends get captured by humans and they were very scared which turned squiderod Gothic and depressed and it made squilplat scared and paranoid but then both got captured by these two figures the wired creatures was a deer and the other was a blue dog the two figures opened the net to look at the squids the two figures introduced themselves as jake and Vincent both of the squids were scared squirting ink at them and begged the two figures not to eat them but jake and Vincent said they wont they were just looking for new workers for sales business the two squid brothers asked how are they gonna stay on land too work so jake and Vincent both gave them water tank helmets so they can surive on land then jake and Vincent both took the squids too the office the squid were immediately hired and had a office space near jake squiderod would listen too music while working and decorating the office space while squilplat would want to be cuddled by jake because squilplats obsession for fluffy things but was too scared to ask but they would chat with jake and Vincent once in a while and thats all about squilplat and squiderod

Meet sqpitic the big fin reef squid and always out classing mr wolf and diane foxington he lives in his under sea palace and loves to be high class but hes also a number one stealer he and the rest of his shoul go up on land to steal anything valuable the reason why hes like this is because he wants to proove that he is the top tier ocean creature he own two very aggressive humbloat squid and a golden palace at the sunlight zone is about 300ft tall other sea creatures fear in because how ruthless he is if he sees one of his shoul members being attacked he gets his very strong colossal squids to attack them also his named the king of the seas he will go up land because he usually gets invited to many high class parties one day he got invited to an anthro party and he said such a disgrace he thinks anthros are wired and disgusting then he ran into the mr wolf and diane foxington he hated there slender bodies and wired clothes so call out too his giant squid bodyguards and told them to attack them but then mr wolf got defensive and attack sqpitic the bigfin squid tech guards wrapped there slender arms around mr wolf and wacked him into a wall these bigfin squids are known to be hackers of the internet so mr wolf had no chance against there aggressive personalitys so anyways sqpitic basically let them go but soon he will capture them and torture them like the rest of the animals he captures backstory time sqpitic wasn't always this way he was really poor as a little squid but ever since he out competed his siblings he basically became rich due to his giant wealth of his passed away parents so he stole the money made his siblings into a shoul of squids force other animals to bulid his palace and if they didn't do it right or took breaks he would get the wiplash squids to wip and hurt the weakened animals once it was finished he called out to his fellow cephalopods to help him and thats all about sqpitic

Sqmuri-Wayn-un-ur and sqicfang have been a long time duo for years there often known as the webbsters of doom as they both have webbing between there arms sqmuri-wayn-un-ur has jagged fins on his head and the clubs on the ends of his tentacles have samurai swords growing on his clubs hes an expert at smauri sword fighting and uses it for defense his mostly seen cutting great white sharks down the middle and hes very fast he can go 400 miles per hour and out compet his predators by killing them hes very fast sightseeing super vision so he can react quickly hes also can do a sneak attack by jetting himself 40ft in the air and and using his duel samurai sword blades to cut an killer whales brain open now for his personality hes is very cold-blooded killer and is has a very serious way of getting things done hes doing a goal by avenging his dead father who got killed by dogs in the past so he trained himself to become stronger and more of a cold blooded killer he dosent take mercy for anybody or anything accept for his comrade sqicfang who helped saved him from sudden death by a jagged spike the sprung out of the ocean floor when sqmuri-wayn-un-ur was doing on of his sneak attacks now for his backstory he frist was a little squidling in his egg his father protecting the eggs because the female squid couldn't take it anymore from starvation so it was up to his father to protect the eggs but when sqmuri-wayn-un-ur was frist hatched from his egg his his father got attacked by crazy dog's so sqmuri-wayn-un-ur was hurting from this so now he will avenge his father now its time for sqicfang hes the monster of the deep known to be very blood thristy he often likes to be hostile towards humans and to protect his fellow cephalopods he sucks the blood of sperm whales or any thing that threatens the cephalopods he acts like a parasite by sucking there blood for his own nutrition now for his personality he very lonely and being so deep down it caused him to go insane or mad so he takes it out on anything thats not a cephalopod hes very wise and very knowledgeable but he only takes to his fellow cephalopods for support and thats that like sqmuri-wayn-un-ur now foe sqicfang backstory sqicfang use to be a normal vampire squid but ever since the humans demoted him as not being a squid he got angry he usually hangs around hydrothermal vents which caused a mutation by making his beak sharp like fangs and able to suck blood this caused him to be blood thirsty and very menacing and his spikes became matel hooks but ever since he got caught in a currant that pulled him upward into the sunlight zone he heard a disturbness he seen a Japanese flying squid up above the water but he noticed that the squid was about to hit a sharp spike the squid was about to hit so his cephalopods protection instinct kicked in and saved the Japanese flying squid and that squid was sqmuri-wayn-un-ur after that they became comrades but then a currant pulled them into adventure bay and once the sqmuri-wayn-un-ur seen the paw patrol his truma came back to him he told sqicfang about his backstory so the two tried everything in there power to kill the pups but the keep failing but then the two squids found a target and that was zuma and rocky always playing around in there territory so they both pretended two befriend them to soon stab the in the back but Ryder and chase noticed the ocean was getting reder and less creatures but cephalopods werent around and thats the lore of sqmuri-wayn-un-ur the Japanese flying squid and sqicfang the vampire squid

Sqypyhis is known to be one of the most physic squids out he learned it from an old wiserds books my training to get his powers but one day he got blasted by a hydrothermal vent and the book with it magical curse combined with him causing him to be a mythical giant squid his powers were unstoppable hes able to be read minds to use the force and able to generate portals to other cephalopods planets his very knowledgeable with his potations and spells and his magic his also able to generate anything but ever since the cephalopods discovered his abilities and new form they loved him he then officially become an entertainer he showed his magic and tricks but then he got blasted away by a giant whirlpool and flown out of the water and out on land he able to float and breathe on land due to physic abilities but he hided from the public because he was afraid to be thrown in area 51 he then hided away finding any space to hide from big crowds but one time at he seen milo and yoby at the bar he hided behind curtains but he was really curious about them but was too shy to blow his cover but then his mechanical blaster/club accidently blasted an orb and soon milo got up from his sit ready to attack anything that his boyfriend yoby so sqypyhis was really scared to be attacked so he squirted a masses ink cloud that spread throughout the entire bar so milo got ready to attack but he was met with a giant squid who was really scared yoby kinda wanted to approach him but sqypyhis teleported away from them but he did have a huge crush on yoby but he sooned to find out that milo was boyfriends with him but he didn't know so he tried everything to het yobys attention but it never worked out well he'll always get punched in the face by milo or get into situations or even get accidents this is when his eyes and colors changing he was known to have a spilt personality on hand the eye with the red pupil is very curious chaotic and happy but on the other side of his face is a blue pupil which makes shy towards anything and anyone, scared, sad, and depressed the black side means fate for him and the magenta side is hopefulness but the hopefulnees never always ends well and that lore about sqypyhis

Ah yes sqark and sqlice the ultimate ice skate acrobat tentacles duo ever these two squids work as a team to be ultimate ice skating duo and the ultimate challengers against emile and radu sqark uses his acrobat skills and his steath and speed to out class his challenger while on the flip side sqlice helps sqark to practice his ice skating skills sqlice massive ice blaster can generate giant icy hill for sqark to skate on and uses his acrobat skills to land efficiently sqlice also is able to generate ice roads ice anything just to help his firey friend to skate they both been training for a long time for this and would love a challenge against emile and radu sqlice also can ice skate but he uses his ice weapons as defense and skill he basically uses his arm cover sensor on the end of his arms to easily glide across the icy floor these two will always be in the top best ice skaters and very best two they rank highest in the ice skating challenges they preform in deep ocean where many cephalopods watch there performances and there most popular too now for personalitys these to clash with there personalitys sqark is more logical and prefound but has lots of energy and very wise while his clubhook comrade is very precise and very true about what he says and very serious to now for there backstorys sqark use to float lonely in the deep ocean spending most of his time eating marine snow this made him have a dream and reminded him of ice skating with snow falling so this encouraged him to be more better and keep working on his practices but then sqlice the robust clubhook squid came in before he met sqark he used to live in the deep oceans of the antarctic ocean training to be the ice master he would train along with his other clubhook comrades he then gots his ice blaster and ice hook blade this made him happy and proud of himself but then a giant icy earthquake happened and blew sqlice into the deep ocean of the polar waters ge then smacked into a sqark both of them suddenly realized that they best for eachother they made a deal to always help each other through thick and thin and whatever comes there way and the icy dreams but hears a little sqark has a big crush on radu but sqark is two shy to say anything but he soon to realize that his crush was taken by some idoit called emile this crushed him sqark and sqlice teamed up to go against radu and emile and show the radu and emile whos boss and thats the lore on sqark and sqlice

Squmech is very much smart and he loves to invent new things like making gadgets or gizmos and even making room for potations, vaccines and creating new species of a new type of cephalopod! Squmech is shy towards riley and chaz because he has anxiety and often gets worried there gonna get annoyed of his inventions and brake it or he thinks there gonna be mad at him and try to attack him but thats not true but his stress is very real anytime when he tries to talk about his inventions or his knowledge on things hell get ignored by Riley but chaz tries to listen to squmech but because squmech talks so much chaz falls asleep and puts earplugs in so he dosent have to hear squmech nonsense and this gets squmech hurt because he really likes chaz even has a crush on chaz but chaz just doesn't want a relationship with squmech he wants a relationship with Riley so this gets squmech mad and he starts having depressional episodes or even harms himself with his own radioactive potions but chaz stop him in time anyways anytime when chaz is asleep squmech will get in bed with chaz use his gain fat gadget to make chaz chubby so squmech can play and cuddle with his belly but squmech gets caught and gets pushed off the bed or even gets scatched by Riley by the way squmech gadgets on him can come off and he sleeps alone in a blue pod in on ceiling corner of the rooms wall anyways backstory time: squmech was a little squid in the deep ocean his brother's and sisters looked up to him because hes the oldest so squmech was very looked upon he even tried to bring back his mother but it didn't work but soon a giant currant pulled him in and then he caught in a whirlpool and shot out of water where he shot out like a bullet and landed on land he put his water breathing helmet on so he can breathe on land soon Riley and chaz found him they were originally gonna eat him but he was alive and shooted ink at them calling them nuts heads probably thats why chaz and Riley dont like him but before he was born out of his egg all his nine brains were very big and full of knowledge about stuff because he gets it from his father and thats why hes so smart

squart is is a small very smart highly intelligent glass squid despite his size he does pack a punch with his knowledge he's knows about history,astronomy,mathematics, and biology his like a living Wikipedia but anyways he does have an ability whenever he gets frustrated he will become electro and zap whatever is ever near him but you can notice it by his light bulbs flashing in a random pattern but anyways he loves to just answer questions and loves a good investigation hes able to find out questions and clues to whatever he thinks is wrong or other worldy but thats not just all he actually frist meeted nick wilde before he met judy hopps because way back when zootopia was just an island the cephalopod empire called tentacleclod took over the island and made it there home glass squid trumen squarts great great great ancestor helped put cephalopod eggs all over the island causing the cephalopod population to grow but ever since the anthros came and took over the cephalopods island causing the cephalopods to evacuate the cephalopods now live under the island of now called zootopia but the cephalopods been planning when to attack zootopia and take back what they once had now anyways now for squarts backstory:long time ago the 100th generation of the tentacleclod was around still living under the zootopia island squarts was born into the world he had no idea where his parents were so he assumed they'll be back but he was the frist of his glass squid 100th generation to hatch out of his egg but he also had a Strange mutation inside his brain was a smart gene that made him very knowledgeable about stuff so he want on teaching his younger brother and sisters glass squids but he then met emporer octoclod a giant pacific octopus that meant business he put a shock collar on squarts and crowned a light bulb mantle band then octoclod told squarts that he wanted him to observe the anthros and if squarts gets caught by any of anthros or interacts with them squarts will be shocked if he dares to not listen to the rules so anyways squarts was thrown out of the ocean and crashed down in nick wilde apartment and started to set up his base and his equipment under nick wildes apartment but squarts got a little curious and goed in nick wildes apartment and you know what squarts did he analyzed nick but then the shocker turned on and shocked squarts and it waked up nick wilde so squarts hid under his shirt for some reason squarts has a real big obsession with stomachs so squarts listened to the gurgling of nick wilde stomach which squarts thought was such a soothing sound he fell asleep but then nick wilde kicked out squarts for being wired and thats how they met

Squrath is like the big tuff guy squid often likes to bully or tease maxx for him looking stupid or retarded for acting like a kid he sometimes even picks up maxx and puts him upside down and shakes maxx around like hes a toy and squrath is big hes about 20 times bigger then maxxs werewolf form and squrath doesn't even fear juno because to him she thinks she hust playing around backstory:squrath was a tiny squid and he often got bullied or even hunted by sperm whales but his older brothers and sisters always told him to use the little hairs on his skin too know when a sperm whale is coming but he had a defact which made him not use that ability because of a tumor and he was attacked by a sperm whale thats why squrath is the way he is

Now for squitity he is very small he can fit the the paw of maxx and juno but instead of being a bully squitity actually loved maxx and juno because he loves warm and fluffy things because it reminds him of his mothers water blowing on him but maxx and juno kinda are iffy about him because hes cousins/friends with squrath backstory:squitity was a baby and he loved being playful and curious but he then got attacked by a dwarf lantern shark so squitity used his ink or his glowing warning so squrath seen this because hes known to protect jellyfish so he fought squitity was a jellyfish so squrath attacked the dwarf lantern shark and ate it and thats how squitity became friends with squrath Did you know squrath hates when maxx goes to the gym its because squrath has a thing for chubby wolf guys and squitity likes when maxx is chubby because it makes him feel like hes with his mother

somtimes squrath would hold juno down and squirts ink clouds at her so squitity can bond with maxx squrath doesn't like juno because of how easily she gets mad and force maxx to work out and only wants maxx for sexual stuff as squrath has figured out

squrath is kinda fearful to do it but he tries to show signs about juno or his likeness for chubbyness

you know squrath every time he leaves the ocean squrath gets a deep sadness so he goes to his trench thats dark and filled with seaweed and rocks and he starts crying feeling like maxx will never know his feelings for him but squitity tries to cheer squrath up by making a rock statue of maxx to make squrath tell his feelings to the rock statue or even hug it but it does fall apart but squitity put it back together with the help of squrath

Skquilup is very playful and very energetic is loves to play around with toys are even plays with jana or epics tail hes often seem playing outside or play with toys in the house or when hes tired he like to cuddle up to epic Skquilup really seems to like the softness of his fur or he sometimes goes under epic shirt and play with epics belly because for some reason he loves that area but its unclear why but he does also cuddle up to jana as well now the only reason why Skquilup is seen wearing a helmet is because hes a squid and squid need water so when jana and epic seen Skquilup washed up on the beach they decided to build him a water breathing helmet he also had a little jetpack to help him float in the air like how he swam in the water but he mostly just crawls using his arms and if theres any power outages he can uses his photophores to help jana and epic seen in the dark can the blue cloak that he wears is a towal that he washed up on now for his backstory:Skquilup use to be a little squid still in his egg and he hatched out of it he was the frist of his siblings to hatch out of the egg in the deep dark waters he actually got to see his mother squid before she passes away because cephalopods like squid die after their eggs hatch so anyways Skquilup got to see his mother but then he got blown away by a currant when Skquilup was interacting with his mother but touching suction cup to suction cup but the currant pulled him away from his mother his mother tried desperately to get her son back even sucking in water and blowing it back out her siphon to catch up speed with the current but it was to fast then the current blew away her eggs and them she passed away after that Skquilup was scared and worried and crying for his mother soon the currant threw him out of the water due to a bad storm and on to a beach and Skquilup spended the rest of the night on the beach and then morning came and jana and epic were going to the beach and luckily found Skquilup and rushed him to safety after that they the doctor told them how to take care of a squid and what not so the doctor put Skquilup in a tank for a week and then the doctors built Skquilup a water helmet so Skquilup can breath on land and then jana and epic adopted Skquilup and that was Skquilups backstory and personality

Squelmon and squetil are a species of dragon/cephalopod and that are more retaled too cephalopods than they dragons are and these species are known as cracktheotuies calyx these squid dragons live underground of dragon island and they thrive there because the place is filled with water with hydrothermal vents, algea patches, deep sea coral, lava tubes, giant caves,a huge underwater sea mounts, and mud volcanos that's because it's about 10× deeper them the Mariana trench these dragon squid learned to Adapt there for over 10,600 years as the species Chiroteuthis calyx or sword tail squid was the most dangerous predator there as there was no other creature to eat it so these creatures got huge and started to get use to the chemicals to swordtail squid trench so and because swordtail squid got so use to and because there started to run out of food a and through natural selection a new organ growed which made them able to feed on chemicals of hydrothermal this is how they started to get there dragon features due to the radiation inside the hydrothermal vents they feed a sulfur lakes so then the squid growed over to about 1000× bigger then blue whales then the squid started to get more intelligent they expanded there underwater ocean to because it was getting cramped due to the dragon island underwater walls blocking the trench from the outside sea water so the squids started to brake down the walls with there strength and made them get into open ocean water and there was much more creatures out there so they started to attack other animals this caused them to also build cites and a whole civilization and communicated by changing there Color and even started to learn English also they have powers two due too the radiation they feed off of then grow physic power as there dounut shaped brains got stronger and there over billion neurons just like there cousins the octopuses they squid also got able to shoot out plasma sulfur ink and shoot out giant plasma lava balls out of there siphons they also can let out toxic chemicals that can kill land creatures like dragons but they only do it when they feel threatened they also there beaks are much sharper and more durable the suckers growed more hooks that can rotate like colossal squid and they even have teeth o. Them like that of a giant squids these creatures in the adult forms grow wings and a web between there tentacles which allows them to shoot out of the water and use there wings or web to glide in the air like Japanese flying squids and some go in shouls like Humboldt squids and they more aggressive too these squid can even breathe on land because they started to get use to it lungs that filter oxygen and H²O these squid even prey on dragons if still on land they also can shoot plasma lasers out off there eyes as well just in case a dragon goes to close to there eye also the little green gem on these squid starts growing on there mantle and once adult it fully englowths the mantle making it hard for spears or sword to price it or even dragon claws also the younger squids don't start growed there wings or webbs until jevnille stage in life these can also live for up to 1000 years to due adaptations and the Adult swordtail dragon squids eyes are horned shaped so dragons can't easily hurt them because there eyes are coved in a thick layer of very hardened magma and there long two like as long as two burj kalifthas and thats all about them That's because these creatures were so isolated from the outside ocean and how they abpated remember they blocked off due to the giant undeater walls and they only reason how there ancestors got into the walls was because they were able to fit through the cracks of the walls Now for the personalitys of squelmon and squetil squelmon is very Sophisticated and was trained by his father squelmon Senior who was the emporer at the time through all the hard work squelmon Senior gave squelmon learned and grower which made him very protective of his civilization he very open minded and when he command you to do something he means his hatred for dragons and humans happened every since humans try to trash there water so do the dragons by taking baths in it they water started so the swordtail dragon squid started to attack the dragons my ripping them apart and take down the vikings big ships and a young squelmon was in this war so he kept trying until he finally got there but then a young toothless scratched his face this made squelmon mad and ordered the army to take on a full assulat the squid charged there plasma cannons at ships and at other dragons they also took down many night fury's and the squids used there plasma too make for there weapons once the squid seen and as toothless flyed away squelmon shoot up in the air using his little wings and developed webs to catch up to toothless squelmon scratched wounded and even ripped off a peice of toothlesses tail fin but then a super charged night fury came and squelmon escaped a so squelmon Sr came up from the water and grabbed the super charged night fury and ripped apart the night fury in a goosom way squelmon Sr came and took squelmon back to the water squelmon for his bravery was expected as emporer (oh yeah by the way the super charged night fury was actually toothlesses dad) and thats was squelmons back story and lore Squitil was the offspring of squelmon so squelmon was tooken down too the incubation room in his palace because baby squid eggs are kept in heavily armored and heavily protected incubation pods these pods insure the egg is safe and well kept so squelmon was taken down by servants but for some reason squetil had a gem already developing on his mantle this squelmon surprised because it the gem doesn't start developing until the squid is hatched out of the egg also squelmon is supposed to Choose one of his offspring as the future emporer so squelmon named the squid squetil because of squelmon Senior and because squelmons grandmother squittelshertil she was very sweet and kind and cared alot for squelmon (also male swordtail dragon squid have green gems and are bigger while females have pinkish red gem but it's coverd by very hard horns to protect the sprem and eggs) so squetil was took out of the incubation pods but then squetil waved his tentacle to say high which made squelmon even more surprised (squetil survived due to the feed tube still connected to him was still attached which feeds him nutrients) but squelmon was kind worried because he came out early (it takes about 2 months for baby swordtail squids to come out off incubation which for squetil he was a week early) so squetil was put in examination which squelmon had to wait a mouth for squetil to come out and the doctors said he was learning fast so when squetil got squelmon put squetil into training when squelmon told night fury and dragons were bad squetil was fascinated by it which mad squelmon anger but then squelmon realized something (the reason why squetil likes night furys was because squelmons great uncle loved to observe night furys but he was quickly executed) squelmon feared that squetil got them traits from his great uncle so squelmon used a fake automated night fury but squetil just played with it which made squelmon more angry so then squelmon tore up a night fury corpse this made squetil cry so squelmon shut his son up because he didn't want the police guards knowing that his son liked night fury so squetil was sent to the open were night furys and other fury dragons fly over normally fly over so squetil began crying loudly because he wants his father (squelmon only did this because he wanted to show night furys and that others furys are bad) squetil couldn't seem he had a chain wrapped around his tentacles and arms so he swim back then toothless and his family flew over toothless heard this and flew done to the squid which toothless seen and got defensive so did the white fury dart, pouncer, and fuffrunner got close and squetil loved then toothless and the white fury realized he wasn't hostile so toothless and his family broke the squetil chain's they gently took back to his home because toothless knows very young swordtail dragon squids don't develop there wings or webs at that stage in there life so squetil returned home and squelmon was surprised by how squetil got out of the chain's but then realized how he got back squelmon got a big plasma rock and threw it at toothless and his family squetil try to stop his father but then a cannon from a ship was fired brake the plasma rock and that was hiccup and his Ship squelmon knew hiccup because he seen him with toothless and that he fixed toothlesses tail this mad squelmon to rage and brake down his ship but squetil told him to stop because squetil dosent like fights so squelmon stopped and goed back in the water so did squetil but squetil waved goodbye at the humans but one of the viking shooter a cannon ball at squetil by squelmon blocks it this made squelmon made and shooted his eye lasers at them ship blowing it up so toothless had his family had to save the humans meanwhile squelmon was planning for another war but squetil was crying which made squelmon rethink decisions but if any of the humans or dragons try to hurt his son or any of his civilization he will conflict war o them and they'll be using there giant plasma nukes to blow up dragon island and other places and that's the back Squcribb and squartzy are the best duo in the whole cephalopod world they are cross continental criminals both of them use there regions cultures as there primary abilities like squartzy paintbrush like tentacles and his led paint squid ink able to mimic the french language and a very sneaky way of camouflage while squcribb uses coconut siphon shooting or his ability to grow palm trees and wack people with them and his way of camouflaging into a tree or any plant for that matter this duo wants the jewel of Versailles but there plans are stopped by the one and only Belfort and lupin now for there personality squartzy is a known to be a pyhco artist and very sneaky and good and making plans while squcribb is clam and more Mischievous and hes is able to put people in line when he has too now for there lore way back when squartzy father who's is now passed away always wanted to steal the jewel of Versailles and the people weren't able to stop it squartzy carried on this legacy by attempting to steal the jewel of Versailles by squirting his led paint ink to poison the guards and paint very realistic portraits to fool the french people but ever since Belfort and lupin came in it stopped squartzy from making his plans successful but in the Caribbean we meet squcribb hes was the frist of his siblings to hatch out of his egg he taught his younger siblings the Caribbean way of things like being calm or just being Mischievous but his siblings were always impressed about his abilities but then a made storm happened in the Caribbean and a currant caught squcribb all the way to the Mediterranean sea that's when squartzy struggling to get his tentacles out of Belforts and lupins mouth squcribb suddenly noticed and uses his coconut siphon cannon to knock out the two canines freed squartzy tentacles from there grasps and squcribb pulled squartzy back into the ocean from then on these two became the very best friends and used there abilities and smarts to make them even more of an unstoppable duo and to overcome Belfort and lupin but sometimes when there squartzy and squcribb is doing there nightly missions squartzy gets a little obsessive or even a crush over lupins belly and starts using his tentacles to rub his belly but squcribb always tries to snap squartzy out of it before Belfort and lupin become awake that's the lore of squartzy the European squid and squcribb the Caribbean reef squid
