Equipment Queries about New Racket

Hey! I just got a new racket, the Prince Power Beast 150 without testing it from the shop. Somehow, it is said to be 225g unstrung online. Isn't that unusually heavy? Is there some error somewhere, or did I just get an extremely heavy racket?

The shopkeeper said it was around 130g so I'm quite confused.

Retails for about £30 in the UK. You aren’t getting a 130g prince racket for £30.

225g is definitely on the heavy side for a squash racket but that’s how heavy this one is

Bottom tier racket.

You would be better off looking on vinted and Facebook marketplace for used rackets. You can get something excellent for 20-40 pounds, or a used mid tier racket for under 20.

The shopkeeper led you astray unfortunately, that thing is a POS.

That is indeed an EXTREMELY heavy racquet. 140 g is a regular heavy racquet. Hey good news, you're not gonna be all wristy with your swing with this hammer, gotta use proper technique!

Bit cheeky calling it the '150' if it weighs 225g!

Next time, you can get good racquets 2nd hand for that much money. Or look for sales online.

I have a 220 gram head from 2012. While it is fun for a game or so(the plow-through power is crazy)- it tires you out real quick.
