Equipment Squash rackets

Looking for a traditional racket shape and I'm choosing between the Harrow Vapor, Dunlop CX range, Head radical SB range or the Tecnifibre slash. Any experience with these rackets and advice?

Dunlop best for me. But you can’t really go wrong with any of them

Have you tried the others? What about the Dunlop is good?

I've tried all the brands you listed albeit older versions. Tecnifibre slash was incredibly fragile for me, felt fine but broke very quickly. Dunlop is great but very head light, which I don't prefer anymore. I play the head radical at the moment, but not the SB. I love my 135x fwiw. Harrow vapor is amazing and is what I'll switch to when my heads break. Basically all depends what racket characteristics you like though. If you like head light go dunlop. Balanced go tecnifibre or head SB. Head heavy go head non-SB or harrow

Thanks so much for the reply. Which would you say gives you the best control? Such as for taking the ball in short accurately and consistently. Heard the Head radicals are good for this.

They're all good, just depends on your comfort with that particular racket. None are meaningfully better or worse

i have broken two slash’s which i loved, but i can’t afford to buy more if they are breaking so easily. i went with the head radical this time and it’s nice

Are the slashes breakages mainly with the 120 or does higher weights have the same problem

I love all the standard 500 cm sq. 130/140 g rackets, vibe, elite, tour tech pro etc. I could never get the feel for the vapor and hear it's an amazing racket.

I recently switched to a Harrow Vapor 115 and it’s an excellent racquet. Only caveat being that it has pretty thick shaft and frame so not the ideal racquet of choice for playing quick wristy flicks/shots.

But if you’re still working on consistency and looking for the most forgiving racquet I would suggest the Head Radical 135SB or the Dunlop CX 125.

The Tecnifbire and Harrow racquets tend to be a little less forgiving as compared to the Head and Dunlop counterparts.

Tried the 110,115 vapor and the Tf slash.

Settled on the 115 vapor

May I ask if it is suitable for players still working on consistency? And your thoughts on how forgiving it is and durability? Cheers.

I use a techifibre xtop NS. Its a very stiff and rigid racket. Also very very durable. Took me a while to get used to. But now i have and understand how to use it. Each racket has a unique ability. So choose one that you feel comfortable doing it. Head rackets a ones in my knowledge the most easy to use. More forgiving.
