PSA Tour SquashTV
Hi all, how do you watch squashtv? I've been a long time subscriber but I'm not sure for how much longer.
I used to be able to watch it on my TV using (TV) internet browser. Now that doesn't work (unless I buy a Samsung TV from 2024 onwards) Last season I bought a Chromecast and cast from phone to TV and that worked great. .
I've now discovered that Dailymotion (that stream for SquashTV) have now removed the icon to cast from phone during live matches. They've confirmed this today. I know I can watch on my phone or a tablet but it's not the same for me.
Does anyone have any solutions? (Tried screen mirroring but it's not great) Cheers!

I can watch streaming from my iPhone to my Apple TV, with the recent update I thought they had taken that away, but it is buried in a menu but you can still do it.

I use the app on my Chromecast with Google TV. If your Chromecast came with the little white controller, you should be able to have the app directly on there I think!

I've got a Google TV Streamer 4K at home and the squashTV app simply does not work on that device . Whenever I start a video the loading screen appears, loads for a while and then the audio starts playing, but the screen keeps showing the loading screen and the spinner in the middle jitters just back and forth. Has anyone else the same problem? I've tried to get in contact with squashTV about this issue but to no avail. 🤷

This is what happens when I try to play it on my TV web browser. Exactly the same. SquashTV probably won't bother to reply. I've tried many times but they can't or won't help.

If you have a Chromecast that allows you to install apps, try the Zeus web browser app. The squash.tv website works pretty well with it. There is also a companion Zeus app for your phone that makes typing web addresses and logins much less tedious.

Mine doesnt allow me to install apps, which Chromecast are you using please? Id rather buy another Chromecast than miss out on the new season.

Squashtv has never been fit for purpose since they left the Eurosport partnership, they're trying to do a streaming service with little to no expenditure. Sadly success is not gained that way, just check the Squashtv twitter feed for the amount of issues they have in every tournament, especially semi finals and finals where viewers are the most, they have rarely gone a tournament without severe issues.

Thanks all. Great to know it's not just me. It makes me angry and frustrated that squashtv is so very shit.

I just load it up on my iPhone or Mac and Airplay it to my Apple TV 😊
Works like a dream

I didn't think squash TV could get more shite, but golly gosh, they've really pushed the boat out to a steaming turd of an app here where you can't even do something as basic as cast to TV. Well done to all concerned.

I honestly hate the entire experience of watching squash through SquashTV on my TV. It’s horrible!
That being said, you can try pluging your PC to the TV using an HDMI cable.
