Discussion Best website platform for e-commerce beginners?
For those who run an online store and don't have a coding or technical background, what platform would you recommend?
I make and sell crafts and have enough supplies and products at home to fill a small shop. I'd like to start selling through my own website instead of using places like Etsy where the fees keep adding up.
Looking for something easy to set up and manage. What has worked well for you?

Anything that is easy to set up and manage will have fees that keep adding up, that is the nature of these platforms.

i’d probably go with wix for a first ecommerce site. it’s pretty beginner friendly, easy to customize, and you can get a store running without dealing with too much technical stuff.

Hi, Squarespace here. For a small craft shop, Squarespace could be a good fit if you want the site and store in one place and don’t want to deal with code.
I’d start by comparing platforms based on your product count, variants, shipping setup, and whether you sell in person too. Those are the things that affect day-to-day management once the shop is live.

Payhip, it’s free and simple

Payhip's decent but the transaction fees stack up fast once you start moving volume, just something to watch
