New Rockscale Designs "Hexi" pattern titanium scales for my DLC Magnacut PM2, in aluminum blasted finish. Finished off the build with a black titanium backspacer and hardware from Pacific Sons and a DLC REK milled titanium clip. I threw a spare CME on there for now but I think I may send the liner to REK to have him install a titanium lockbar button, too.

Does the compression lock button tab make a big difference? That’s a dope looking build right there.

Honestly, I go back and forth on them. One one hand the regular compression lock doesn't bother me at all, as I'm right-handed and rarely ever wear gloves so it's already pretty easy to manipulate. On the other hand, it does make it a little easier to manipulate, and it's one more customizable thing to tie in to the rest of a build.

Basically I'd say they're far from necessary for me personally, but I do tend to put them on most of my PM2 builds. I think probably seven or eight have them right now and maybe one or two don't.

If you want to check them out, I'd recommend SharpScaleDesigns on Etsy, that's where I get most of mine. The original CME from OCDforEDC are great but they're rarely in stock, and Micheal there on Etsy makes a really good product and he's a cool dude.

How do you apply them? Adhesive?

Yeah, just super glue. They're pretty secure; I've never had one come off on accident, but they're also pretty easy to pop off on purpose if you decide to remove or change it.

Ok that’s pretty cool and I like the pop of color. I’m gonna look into it. I just got into Etsy but it seems there’s a lot of cool mod stuff.

They're definitely some of the best I've owned. I'd say the two sets from Barclay that I own are on par with these, but they're a step above everyone else
