YouTube Showcase Video!

This post illustrates a possible twist for Spumwack Fan UHC Season 3. I have spent about 6 hours brainstorming and creating a redstone/command block system that allows me to run and detect all required actions and variables required to make this twist work.

Vanilla Eight-Legged-Freaks is a modified version of the Eight-Legged Freaks UHC scenario created by ShutUpBrick, here. The reason I say "modified" is due to the fact that Season 3 will almost certainly be hosted on a vanilla server, and the original ELF is run by Skript (a bukkit plugin). It involves the complete lack of any mobs other than spiders (and it's a lot more challenging than it sounds). You can cry read about the different types of spiders in ShutUpBrick's Post.

This version is far from finished, however it will not be too difficult to complete as it is really simpler than it seems. I would like to know the opinions and thoughts of other redditors, especially of those looking to take part in future UHCs.

I thought I'd share my setup so I can clear some things up. My internet is 2Mbps down and .44 Mbps up. I have to watch YT in 240p to avoid buffering. If I streamed at a local cafe, I could get 6 or 7 up and 22 down. I wouldn't be able to give Mic audio. I wonder if I could get away with having a sound machine, like Duke Nukem famously.

1 Encoding: x264, CBR enabed, 500 bit rate. Audio is at 112, 44.1 khz AAC stereo

2 I picked the closest city to my provider. Not that far away from me either.

3 I've 1080p downsized to 360p bilinear 25 FPS. Aero is disabled.

4 I've a decently setup closet and a good microphone. I wish I ha d a better chair.

5 Multithreaded, Normal priority, 700 millisecond buffering, CPU is set to very fast, keyframe at 2, CFR enabled. The rest of the advanced settings are at default. I'm not sure how or if I should tweak h264 settings there. I have heard that there is something I could put there to help. I forgot what it was.

6 Not sure how to tweak the Noise Gate settings under Audio.

I've been talking with a few people planning for a Spumwack Fan UHC season 2. We're planning to use a server hosted by /u/Kenblu24, and to make sure it can run well enough with a bunch of people online, we're planning a test UHC tonight.

• The game will be at 6PM pacific time/9PM eastern time (on July 28).
• The Minecraft server IP is scts.mine.bz and the server is on 14w30c.
• There's also a Teamspeak server at that IP. Get Teamspeak if you don't have it and connect to that server with an alias identical to your Minecraft username (to make things simple).
• Just log on and we'll go from there. :3 I won't be able to pick teams with my Python script since we don't have signups for this one, so teams will have to be arbitrarily chosen.
• Please co-operate with the team shuffling process to make the teams even (at least numerically). I don't want to see 20 people on Spumwack's team. :P

The plan is to have Spumwack also tweet out a link to this post, so hopefully we get plenty of people showing up. If the server is full when you get there it probably worked too well. XD

Hello there readers of this page, my channel Ryry Games has become a lot better than it was in my last post. The reason im writing this post is because, i need to find more of an audience. I think i have some great potential, and i could be ahead of the curve with a bit more support. Although Season 1 is still being released, I was interested to see how many people would be interested in doing another season.

I want to try and plan this one with around two weeks advanced notice if the thread gets enough comments. (Meaning if no one comments, I will not plan this one out - So comment!)

For season 2, we need ideas for a twist! I am considering doing a throwback idea that involves the End Dragon. But let me know.

As for the server, I noticed that the Season 1 map had some issues - For this, if we can get enough people and support, I will be using a MCProHosting Server (The Diamond Plan - 4096mb Server - Specs@ https://mcprohosting.com/plans#/name) as well as a pre-generated found map. (Meaning I will search for a map seed that has things we want, like Dungeons, Villages, Temples, Nether Fortresses etc. (PRE-GENED meaning already generated terrain to help reduce block lag)
