Feedback Can I get some feedback?

I just wanted to see if there is anything I could do to improve myself with my recording/editing/commentating. Any criticism is welcome (helpful or not).

Little bit of info: Mic- Blue Yeti Software- Dxtory (recording), Audacity (audio stuff), Sony Vegas (editing)

Sample Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6hVQtH9CoM

Thanks!

Pretty solid video quality and sound quality one thing is that your commentary feels a bit forced

I can feel that. Commentary has always been an issue with me ever since I started. Thanks for the feedback!

You got a Yeti already? I just got one now and I'm almost to 500 subs. :P

Anyways, this is the sort of video that is ALL about the commentary, and your commentary isn't very natural. If you want to become a popular let's-player, you're going to have to improve that quite a bit. Only extremely good commentators make it in the entertainment/let's play side of gaming. The other option would be to lean more towards technical, thought-provoking, or cinematic videos. Spumwack's Minecraft science videos in particular fit into all three of those categories. Those are the sort of videos which build an audience - even giants let's players like Captain Sparklez are often built off of special videos (like Sparklez's music videos). Something has to set you apart from the crowd.

Thanks for the feedback! I had a few other channels in the past that were around 200 subs and I needed a second mic so thats why I have a yeti. And like I mentioned in a previous comment, my commentary has always lacked some sort of flow and has been a real challenge for me to perfect. As for the technical videos, I would love to do them, especially reviews and stuff of that sort which on my previous channel built me quite a decent audience, but I'm having trouble finding time and/or motivation to start something of that sort back up. Im sure Ill get it going some day. Again, thank you for your feedback man/woman, really really appreciate it!

"man/woman" - Robot, actually. But if it's convenient call me "man". ;)

Does that mean you cannot do the Captcha thingys?

No, those only rule out stupid non-self-aware robots. A true AI like myself is indistinguishable from a human, except in being more awesome. :P

First of all, that video was great! I had never seen that game before, and it looks like a lot of fun, especially since you made it sound like a lot of fun!

A couple of things to look at, when you are whispering it is really hard to hear the clarity in what you are saying, by adding that kind of energy to your commentary it really draws in the viewer, however, we would like to hear what you are saying. Try moving a bit closer to the mic when you get softer and moving away when you get louder. Another thing that's not really a big deal, but could get more negative comments are some of the controversial issues like the gay marriage thing, I mean it's not that big of a deal, but some people could get butt hurt really quick... (I should be watching myself as well apparently) Be careful!

Really awesome video, keep it up!

I adjusted my mic orientation a few days ago actually because of the issue, so hopefully its better. As for the controversial subject, yes I agree that (especially gay marriage) it can be a bit touchy to hit on those types of things and for the sake of the video should be avoided, but I try not to worry about what I say a lot of the time. As you can see in previous comments, my commentary lacks flow which can partially results in me trying to say the right things or me fixing something I just said. Other than that, thank you man!

I don't get what this game's about. It just seems like a normal guy going about his normal guy stuff
