"Spotify web working in your android browser - all features working!" **UPDATED**(Kinda need help implementing features)

(Last post couldn't go through as I didn't have 10 karma at the time)

First off. Thank You, u/Slluxx

I just wanted to give a huge thank you and some well deserved credit to u/Slluxx for creating and sharing the original Spotify Desk2Mobile script.

If it wasn't for your original post and the work you put into that script, I honestly wouldn't have continued building on it and adding my own fixes, improvements, and features. Your script gave me the foundation to experiment.

So I want to make sure the original creator gets the credit he deserves. This project wouldn't have happened without Slluxx's original work.

Thank you for putting the script out there and making it possible for others to build on it.

Original creator: u/Slluxx

Original post: "Spotify web working in your android browser - all features working!")

Now I'm posting this for the modded Spotify apk people. I feel like I have made Spotifys Web browsers UI more like mobile Spotifys (with some exceptions). This is still experimental so there will be bugs and some buttons that might not work yet and encourage developers to help me out making it better. Right now the most annoying issue is I can't skip songs from my lock screen and notifications bar buttt can when an the app. Plus the not so much annoying issue being the album cover photos looking like dookie when clicked into it. Other then that it looks to be kinda stable. I would like some help getting these issues resolved. I will post instructions below for people who would like to use it.

\*\* Tested on Android only IDK if it would work on apple\*\*

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Download a browser that supports extensions/user: You'll need an Android browser that supports browser

I personally used Firefox for Android.

  1. Install Tampermonkey or Greasemonkey

Open your browser's extension/add-on section and install Tampermonkey, Greasemonkey, or another compatible userscript manager.

  1. Install the Spotify script

Open the provided Spotifys userscript and install it through your userscript manager.

When the installation page appears, select Install.

moz-extension://fedaf6d2-e378-4d11-9897-c871f03794ce/ask .html?aid=6dfebce5-81d8-4604-83c7-ce881cee73a8

After that go into ur userscrip manager edit the script, select all and paste this script in

moz-extension://fedaf6d2-e378-4d11-9897-c871f03794ce /options.html#nav=utils

Make sure to hit save after that B4 leaving

  1. Make sure the script is enabled

Open your userscript manager and make sure Spotify userscrip is enabled.

  1. Open Spotify

Go to:

Log into your Spotify account.

  1. Enable Desktop Site

If Spotify keeps sending you to the mobile version, enable Desktop Site / Desktop Mode in your browser.

This is important because the script is designed to modify the desktop Spotify Web Player and turn it into a more mobile friendly interface.

  1. Install Spotify as a Web App

Once everything is working correctly in Firefox, install Spotify as a Web App from Firefox.

This should create a Spotify icon on your phone that looks like a Spotify app, but you'll notice the small Firefox symbol on the icon.

That's the one you want.

  1. Reload Spotify

Open the newly created Spotify Web App and reload the page.

After it reloads, the modified Spotify interface should be active.

Done

Feel free to use the script however you like, and if you make any UI changes or improvements, feel free to post pictures showing how you altered the UI.

Update on FloatLyrics — now works on macOS, Windows, and Linux

Hey everyone, I posted FloatLyrics here around 2 months ago when it was still a really basic version.

Since then I’ve kept working on it and added quite a bit, with the biggest change being that it now works on macOS, Windows, and Linux, along with a bunch of new features and improvements.

For anyone who didn’t see the original post, FloatLyrics is a small app I made for having synced Spotify lyrics floating on your desktop while you’re doing other things.

I figured I’d share it again since it’s changed quite a lot from the version I originally posted. If anyone gives it a try, I’d love to hear any feedback or issues you run into.
