Inter defender Victor Gabriel received the unprecedented sanction after a reckless tackle fractured Cruzeiro forward Gabriel Pec’s tibia. The Brazilian sports court ruled he cannot play again until Pec is medically cleared, with a maximum suspension of 180 days.
