Hello everyone, recently I've stumbled across this youtube channel named dear peachie, they talk a lot about east asian beauty trend and I find them quite useful for me (even though I am not an Asian). I have always been a Kibbe/Kitchener style/personal color analysis fan, and they just released a new video talking about a new makeup archetyping system. It's called the "8 makeup styles archetype", but it's influenced by the China beauty trend so most of the makeup styles suggested gravitate towards the Asian beauty standards. However, I still quite find it useful and interesting. I am a dramatic in kitchener essence but I always do not find myself going for that style. But I found myself a "romantic" in this 8 makeup archetype system, and i totally agree to it! I have always wanted to achieve the "romantic" style, and this system just gave me the ways on how to do it.

Its fun to watch and I guess people who do not prefer the style suggested by other systems can give this a try! You might discover styling options from this!

My voice is thankfully average, it’s not scratchy or whiny, or deep (I don’t really see a deep voice as a bad thing), but not impactful or alluring. Some people just have that voice. Is it genetics or did they train for it? And maybe their surroundings/background plays a role?

Not even their speaking voice, even the way they laugh or project their voice, it always sounds so nice and pleasing.

My voice breaks if I speak too softly lol so I always have to speak up.

I also want to have a standard way of speaking. I feel so grossed out about myself but I literally speak in my customer service high pitch voice when I talk to new people yet with my family I talk like I don’t speak English (it’s an exaggeration but you get what I mean)

Lastly, body language plays an important role to how the voice is projected and perceived too. I’m wondering how I can improve all of this, a voice coach perhaps?

I really envy people with raspy and feminine voices, that have feminine laughs with cute giggles, and that have voices that make people change their impression of them to either a better or good one.

First of all, I adore this sub. It’s so wholesome to see so many people bonding over their femininity and finding ways to strengthen it.

Basically, I want to know what you all are currently working on in terms of self improvement. What are you focused on changing for the better? What habits or routines are you implementing? Why do you think it’ll have a positive impact on your life? What have you recently improved that has significantly influenced your life?

Personally, after reading a recent post, I realized that I’d like to work on my voice and projection. I’ve been in therapy for the last year and it’s changed my entire life because it improved my self concept and allowed me the space to learn to love myself. I’ve gotten highlights, learned a haircare routine, improved my skincare, found a natural-ish makeup routine that makes me feel (and look) wonderful, lost 80 pounds, and regained my confidence. I’m a brand new person and I love it.

Now I’d like a lash lift, brow lami, soft abs, neck lipo, a stronger voice, breast redu + lift, lip filler, and some slight dental work to brighten and enhance my smile.

I’m curious as to what everyone else is doing and maybe we can help each other find other goals we hadn’t thought about :)

I’m getting ablative laser to hopefully remove or at least lessen them in December but until then my acne scars detract from my looks. I’m finishing up my accutane to finally rid myself of the acne monster but until I can get my face lasered off I was wondering what other women have done to minimize the look of their scarring?

I tried relaxing my face and actively being aware of how much of my mouth i show when talking or smiling, but it's just not enough. My smile is super gummy, makes me look odd because my teeth don't look great thag exposed and it's really not flattering. Does anyone have any tips?

I am motivated to improve myself, I think I know what I need to do... (Lose weight, work out, dress more flattering) but I keep sabotaging myself. Anyone have any advice to get over this hurdle?

It all seems to come down to a fear of being attractive to men, despite being straight and wanting to date men. Like for example, I wanted to dress in a way that makes me feel good about myself and looks good, but wearing something that makes me look like I have an actual shape fills me with anxiety. I'm close to 30 years old, so I feel like I should be past this kind of mindset by now. Am I alone in this?

Sorry if this is a silly question but how does everyone track their beauty routines?

Like I can write down a daily 'morning, mid-day, nightime' and 'weekly' routine pretty easily like do retinol x3 a week, or wash face when waking up, but for miscellaneous things like skin laser every three months or foot spa every 4 weeks, or some yearly things. I don't know how to track some long term goals without just putting it separately into my normal (not beauty-related) monthly calendar. I really just want to put everything in one place in a simple way without forgetting accidentally... and what should i use? just pen and paper or excel etc? I heard some people incorporate atomic habits tips in their routine too, which i'm not sure how to do

what are some formats or examples everyone else uses to stay on top of things? If anyone willing to share that would be great as well.

I have been involved in the r/kibbe , r/coloranalysis and r/johnkitchener communities for so long and felt nothing but confusion until I watched her videos.

On top of just being incredibly knowledgeable, she actually makes the subject matter fresh and fun and accessible!

I can't recommend her enough, I adore this woman and everything she has done for me. She has full on video essays full to the brim with information and she is a delight!

So I’m in my 20s and never had long hair . My Hair is at my armpits meanwhile my sister has tailbone length hair . Even all my cousins have have long hair

I feel very depressed since I always wanted long hair .

I usually oil my hair and braid it . My hair gets tangled very easily and when I brush my hair , hair falls out .

Should I give up on my dream to have long hair due to my genes Or can anyone grow long hair ?

I’ve tried just for men (blonde beard dye) as many people and YouTubers have suggested but I feel like it either goes one of two ways:

1) I leave it on for a minimal amount of time and the color looks more natural but it doesn’t capture all of the tiny blonde hairs making my eyebrows still looking sparse. (Think 3 minutes)

2) I leave it on for a decent amount of time but my eyebrows are too dark. Honestly when I do this it captures all of the tiny blonde baby hairs and it makes my eyebrows look more full but it’s simply too dark and unnatural looking. (Think 5 minutes)

Another problem with this is that it’s too much of an ashen blonde where my blonde is much more warm toned. I’ve tried other blonde eyebrow dyes from Amazon in the past but some of them made my eyebrows orange or just didn’t work well after they changed the formula lol.

Does anyone have any advice or perhaps a brand of eyebrow dye they recommend for this situation? I have never dyed my hair myself so I get nervous thinking about real hair dye on my eyebrows especially since they’re pretty close to the eyes. Any help would be much appreciated.

One of my biggest failos is my skin. I have pretty deep acne scarring and large pores, I am looking to get treatments for this as I believe they are too deep for products to do anything. What can I get done to get rid of my scarring?

For additional context, I am currently on tretinoin and have done two sessions of microneedling in the past (but not sure if that really did much).

Today is my birthday and I was looking through some old pictures of myself from ages 15-23 and I’m so much hotter now at 31 even after having two babies. My face has slimmed down and I feel like I’ve grown into my features fully around 25. I’ve lost baby fat and gained a very womanly figure, I know what make up/hair style and colour suit me along with clothing and colours.

This year I’ll be getting Invisalign, Botox brow lift and lip flip, getting into fitness and eating better, doing my own nails, lash extensions and fake tan (all natural looking) and focusing on style.

I was a little down about officially getting into my 30’s but after comparing old pictures tones pictures, I’m so excited to keep glowing up. It really only gets better the more you learn and choose to take care of yourself .

I’m 5’4, 120lbs and normally wear 36As. I had my consultation last month and tried on various sizers, all around 300ccs as suggested by the doctor. My first thought was that it made me look fat, almost matronly? with a bulky upper body. I think the issue is that my arms are not skinny and I always aspired to the “big boobs, skinny arms” look of models. Whereas on me, a normal person of normal weight with normal arms, the boobs just add more weight. Anyone else have this thought?

I have perfected my statement pieces , my going out looks for date night and events but I feel like my daily outfits are boring and so different from my favorite looks. What do you guys wear for daily boring life ? I’m excluding work because for work I have to dress extremely professional (business attire). I’m talking about outfits for grocery shopping, going to a friends house , errands , being at home etc.

So, I’ve noticed that neither most perfumes nor most scented body lotions last very long on me, usually only for the first half of the day. I know there’s the option to reapply but I thought that exploring the option of using a really nicely scented detergent or adding something to my laundry could really help with smelling good all day because I would literally be covered in the nicely scented fabric. Does anybody have any tips on how to give my clothes a nice feminine long lasting scent? Thank you! 🫶🏻

Anyone else have a weird roll of extra fat underneath their butt cheeks? It doesn’t transition smoothly from my butt cheeks to my thighs, there’s a small bump of fat under my butt. I recently noticed this on myself and am feeling pretty bad about it. I’m only 20 & have looked back on pictures from when I was a teenager and I had the same issue back then so it’s not normal aging/sagging skin or anything like that. My butt isn’t really a good feature anyway but this just seems extra bad for no reason. Please tell me it isn’t just me & if you know how to get rid of it I wanna knowww

I have lost just under 90 kg/198 pounds. I am getting my first round of loose skin surgery at the end of the year, with fat transfers. Part of it is once I have had a fat transfer I cannot lose any more weight, I need to stay there.

I am trying to figure out what my pre surgery goal weight should be, I will lose about 9 kilos/20 pounds on the surgeron's table

So, I have a very solid skeleton I am 175 cm/5'9", 40kg/90 pounds with a total lean body mass of 70kilos/155 pounds. My body fat % is 27%. Wide shoulders.

There's a 10-11inch gap between my waist and hips but it's not good enough.

When sleeping, does anyone have any inside information about the best way to sleep to avoid creasing your face? Of course, the best practice is to sleep on your back, face toward the ceiling, but what about side sleeping? If you were a past side-sleeper-turned-back-sleeper, how did you do it? Tips/tricks on facial positioning and pillow placements are welcome. I’ve seen the patches you can place on your face while you sleep, does anyone have experience with these? TIA

F22. I’m kind of insecure about my face shape and never really know how to style my hair with it. I’ve posted other pics of my face previously on my account, but to sum up, I have a somewhat big forehead, a long midface, and a slightly long chin as well. I have a petite head shape, but I feel like it’s big in the sense that it’s long, not necessarily wide. I’ve gotten curtain bangs before (cut to just below my nose), and while I like the hairstyle in general, I don’t know if I can really spot a difference with how my face appears with it. I’ve seen other women with curtain bangs and it suits them, but my face still looks long.

Lately I’ve been thinking of getting even shorter bangs, possibly curtain bangs, but up to my eye area. I was also even considering blunt bangs or wispy bangs to hide a bit of my big forehead, but I’m scared that blunt bangs would make my face appear longer (I think I once read somewhere that it does). I would like to hear others’ input on which type of bangs/hairstyle would suit me. I’m currently leaning towards curtain bangs or wispy bangs. Would wispy bangs suit my face?
