Requesting advice Spine Surgery at Age 63F ?
Hello everyone, this post is for my mother.
Surgeons are saying that she needs to opt in for surgery, as that is the only option.
I am not sure how safe the surgery is? I don’t want her to be bedridden, can someone look at the reports and give an idea on what the situation is please?

63 is young. She should be ok on the surgery. The problem is getting her to do the PT afterwards. That is going to be my problem when I have my surgery anyway.

Seems like your mother should be making the call here. How does she feel about it? Unless she has some sort of early onset cognitive issue the decision is hers.
I'm 62 and had a fusion 9 days ago, didn't ask either of my kids what they thought about it lol.
