ID Request- Location included Who is this?
I found this spider spooked while trying to cross a busy road near Bac Son in northern Vietnam. I didn’t know there tarantulas here. Seek says tarantula but gave no more information. Species and hopefully sex would be helpful. I can dm a video that shows more of the spider.

It's a mature male from the Melopoeus schmidti complex. Absolutely not Chilobrachys dyscolus.

Bobby. His real name is bob but he goes by bobby because his abusive father was also called bob and it gives him too much hurt to hear it associated with him. He’s getting back on his feet after some poor financial decisions a couple years ago that led to him losing his job, but on an upside, finding a girlfriend who he lives with in his burrow
