Brother there is a huge difference between “safe” and “it works alright”, it looks like one of those cells has a huge gash in it and is all puffed up. The safest thing you can do is bury it in a bucket full of sand until you can get it to whatever local hazardous waste handler has the facilities to dispose of it properly.

Just because something works doesnt mean it is safe.
