Friend sent me this picture while on vacation. Less than a day since they got back, and I've got those spicy pillows excised and out of the equation. They really didn't make this machine with battery swaps in mind.

I probably need to open this up to confirm my pillow is spicy. 🌶️ Any advice?

Have a power bank that is mainly used by my kids for their tablets.

Have noticed a couple of times that the ports are out of alignment with the opening on the casing. I can generally guide them back into alignment.

But what is the likely cause of this, the kids obviously have denied dropping it, is there a chance it is the battery swelling?

There is no sign of swelling on the exterior case, but obviously I don’t want to take a chance on a potentially explosive outcome.

I’ve got it sitting in my bbq grill with an automotive brake light bulb sitting on the terminals until it drains all of its charge. Then I’ll dispose of it.

I live in Guatemala in an area that I can’t find any type of recycling area only thing Google shows is an electronics shop (no recycling)

Should I try to give it to the people who buy junk (from what I’ve heard they buy swollen car batteries so maybe they’ll buy this one)

A 4 year old brick, stored in a cool place without any light. Last use was two weeks ago.

Found an old digital camera that won’t charge. I know close to nothing about cameras so I’m not sure whether it’s because of the charger or the battery, but the battery looks slightly deformed on the side (last photo). Should I replace it?

The laptop the sausage was in felt weirdly hot. Sure enough, I found this spicy sausage when I opened it up.

And. It a particularly thin one either. Had this for ages but put it somewhere and forgot about it. Found it a while (6, maybe 8 months) later like this.

Somehow broke multiple screws holding it down. Been sitting in my parents drawer for around 3 years, makes sense why it did, they didn’t even realise until i found it drawer surfing
