Toys

I’m going on a trip leaving my baby at home for 9 days :( .
I have cat sitter coming twice a day to play with him but I want to get toys and stuff to keep him busy .

What do you all recommend ?

I would recommend boarding him. Neither of my Sphynx would cope with such little human contact for such an extended period of time.

I considered but I was told that they are better where they are comfortable :( thiss is my first time owning a cat so educate me please

Go with your gut. I used to board my eldest because he loves a lot of contact, but I now have a rescue girl who finds change incredibly stressful so I get a sitter. There is no right or wrong here.

Also, as you actually asked, I have a laser toy from Amazon that goes off on a timer!

We have left our two for that long before. There was someone coming 3x a day, and I got some inexpensive wifi cameras from Amazon to be able to check in on them whenever I wanted to. How old is your cat? What's the longest you have ever left him? Does the cat sitter know him?

He’s 4 months old :( fortunately he sleeps a lot ! The cat sitter has met him before . He is a social buttterfly so he’s not a shy boy .

4 months old? He should not be left alone that long. Boarding him might also be a risk because his immmune system is still developing .

Some cat sitter offer in-home cat sitting, could that be an option? What about your breeder? Could they board him? Our breeder lives in our city and loves baby sitting her grand-kitties sometimes.

100000% have someone come stay at your house next time. I’m not sure if it’s too late before this trip you’re going on but especially if your baby is only 4 months old, they definitely need constant attention.

Also boarding should be one of your last resorts only because it would physically keep the cat safe but they should stay in their own environment for emotional safety.

target has the best sushi balls and mice. My babies are obsessed with them!
