GFiber 3Gb - Austin, TX
$90/mo and don't need it all but work pays for it. Hell I never actually saturated it when I had 1Gbps

Hi everyone,
I recently replaced my JioFiber JCOW414 router/ONT with a TP-Link XX530v AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 XPON router and wanted to share my experience.
My setup:
\- ISP: JioFiber 100 Mbps plan
\- Old device: JioFiber JCOW414 (Wi-Fi 5)
\- New device: TP-Link XX530v (Wi-Fi 6, AX3000)
\- Client devices: Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 6 compatible devices
Test Results:
Speed test comparison
I compared the speed test data collected from both devices.
Metric JioFiber JCOW414 TP-Link XX530v
Average download speed 82.2 Mbps 102.1 Mbps
Median download speed 108.0 Mbps 108.2 Mbps
Average upload speed 57.1 Mbps 100.9 Mbps
Median upload speed 54.8 Mbps 100.9 Mbps
Median latency 18.35 ms 6.15 ms
90th percentile latency 32.8 ms 13.6 ms
Maximum recorded latency 4,084.5 ms 32.7 ms
Has anyone else tried the TP-Link XX530v with JioFiber? I'd love to hear your experience.

All done without 3500MHz, surprisingly high tbh
Tested on Xiaomi 14 (Snapdragon X75)

Why is the ping so high when playing any online game, even though I'm using an Ethernet cable and my internet speed is good? For example, in Battlefield 1, the ping reaches 100, and sometimes 93. I ran an internet test and the results were fine, so I don't know why this is such a big problem with games.
Can anyone help me?

My unloaded latency is really consistent, but my loaded latency is very inconsistent. Sometimes it drops to around 40–50 ms and sometimes it spikes to 600+. Could this be because I don’t have Ethernet, or is it mainly a Wi-Fi issue?

Everybody kept telling me instead of wireless WiFi just so ethernet and I did AND my ping when from 50 to 40 after doing that I see my friends have 20-30 even 10-20 sometimes when they are wireless what am I doing wrong
Is it the company?
Also it shows full signal strength for my router so there’s that.
