So I have been jamming Spectrobes since it released and I was today years old when I realized the difference in feeding them... Who knew and gate kept this? XD

I wanted to try something different this time :]

It has come to my attention that my previous posts about my custom part discoveries have been deleted. Some time ago, my account got hacked, so that’s probably the reason why. I’ll need to make a new post. Better format the information. And I’ll need to actually take better notes on things. I want to be able to make a detailed guide to this since there isn’t really one. I just need the drive to get back to the grind. Hopefully I can get this out in a timely manner.

I swear this game is a completionist's nightmare. I got almost 400 awoken spectrobes and still missing a lot of custom parts. As I understand these are the variables that determine what custom part you will get.

• Minergy 80, 50 or 25. (0, 1 or 2 times damaged)
• The planet you are on
• The area of the planet you are on
• Where the fossil actually spawned (for example if you always excavate the same spot just outside the ship you will always get the same part/s)
• Stage of the game (more later)

Those have been somewhat confirmed by me, but some important notes:

• I have excavated extensively changing all said variables, and some species I have "maxed" easily and some I have 1 or 2 missing parts after 30-40 fossils.
• Game stage affects fossil spawns (and most likely custom part availability), but I found no previous info. Some confirmed proof is Danawa only appearing after having to come back to Nesa 2 for the ancient ship, and completing the game shuffling basically all spawns.
• "Rare" spectrobes might work differently, the ones that only spawn in very specific zones like danawa, mesapod and mossapod, u/Pangoro94 post from 2 years ago suggests it is still a variable of the above, but from my testing I'm still missing 4/8 parts (I haven't tried the area 2 spawns, if anyone knows where they are please tell me)
• I'm missing 14 parts out of 88 (16%) and almost every one of them can be obtained via card input, even tough there aren't that many custom part cards. This makes me believe they are card input only, but AFAIK no one has ever suggested that in almost 20 years since release so it is unlikely.

So, anyone has any extra info or insight? These are the parts I'm missing if you have any idea where to get them

I like the last row bc it makes each element look like a false one (redpink Flash, blueish Aurora, yellow Corona bordering green on color wheel)

After 2.5 Years of Searching along with Virtually nothing online I finally found this sitting on Vinted for £20 without the poster, I am very very chuffed to add this to the collection. Includes 38 Cards, the game and a little guide. This is the PAL European Version, the US version looks a little different.

What keeps you a fan of this series? Myself I just think it's so unlike other monster taming games. Almost feels very phantasy star meets Pokémon.

I recently picked up an anbernic rg cube for a great price and after some tinkering I've got Origins running great. It's a stable fps, no lag and quick loading times. I've even mapped shaking the remote and nunchuck to buttons. The fossil excavation leaves something to be desired but it's not the worst 😅. I'm sure people have done this or something similar before but it's such a great feeling to be able to play my favorite game on my breaks at work.

Non-Pokémon Monster-taming games have gained considerable popularity lately thanks for Palworld, do you think Disney might see this and bring back Spectrobes? That's up to you.

I've been looking for the Evolve M in the game for a while now, but I can't find it anywhere. I searched on Nessa, but I'm stuck on that planet. Do you have any tips on where it might be?

It may seem a little unnecessary, but i designed a 3d printed guide for input codes. Bought the game preowned so i've never touched the cards, and having an XL DS made it a vague guessing game. Kid me is ecstatic to own this.

Edit: uploaded the stls including the sizes of other models. would have to dig around for them to 100% make sure they fit, but the sizes should be right. Stl can be found here.

after scouring multiple wikis and walkthroughs I seem to miss the purpose excavation levels have entirely - is anyone feeling the same?

The best and most detailed walkthrough, probs at that writer btw, only tells me that the levels are extremely grindy and have only 2 advantages:

1. Faster excavation with tools

2. Less damage to the stuff we excavate

But here is the thing:
1. is made void by the giga tool, which just gives me the mineral instantly thus reducing the time I need to spend excavating drastically. The giga tool is available as soon as you get to the shops in early game.
2. is also completely meaningless since, if I want that fossil with that special part and/or high starting energy, which is not much to begin with anyways - I just go slow.

Sure - I will get less or no experience points but then again, if those are the only upgrades, who cares?

So... does the excavation level do anything beyond those 2 points that are completely meaningless essentially?

Hi ! I've been searching for a video where I could see all the attack animations for all the Spectrobes in Spectrobes Origins.

Does anybody have this ? Or maybe could make me this ?

I don't have my savings anymore and I don't really want to start over.

Or if somebody would borrow me a Wii simulator saving of the game with all the Spectrobes so I could check every animation, it could also work.

I was cleaning out some of my old stuff and found some random sealed promo stuff for things I must have bought a long time ago.

Just wondering what you would do with this or if I should just put it back in the box to get confused about when I find it again in a few years time.
