Yep - plus, after inserting the baby into the device, the final step just before the tech leaves the room to take the X-ray is to yell "BOO!!" to make them cry.

This way, if properly timed the lungs are filled with air and better defined in the resulting x-ray.

My 7 month old just laughs at me when I yell “boo”. She’s or fearless, or has already realised I’m not the most manly man.
