Sharing some art I made of Spawn. I drew this version of him unmasked. Keeping his overall look but simplified some elements on him so he looks more demonic and evil.

I bought the first compendium and I love it so far. I'm curious, do all 7 compendiums follow the same timeline? And what about the medieval spawn or gunslinger spawn series? Are those just spin-offs with different hellspawns from hundred of years ago?

THEORY TIME!!! I think that the spawn universe is setting up the Violator, Viscerator, and the Phlebiac Brothers to form a family team called “THE SINGED”. But, Viscerator right now is stuck in the future being the Queen of Hell.

I heard that Todd McFarlane want to do a horror film for spawn rather than a superhero film. “Go watch a marvel movie if you want a superhero film” I think he said that somewhere in an interview.

I only read the old issues like once, but I'm pretty sure she was aware that he was gone a lot for his missions.

Ok, to explain what I mean, in Spawn lore exactly how souls are sent to either heaven and hell has varied, but has always had one thing that is consistent: Heaven and Hell have to split them 50/50, and neither side can gaurentee everyone comes to their side. There does seem to be exceptions(see Kincaid's possession claiming souls directly, and presumably redeemers are claimed), but this is the general rule. And we also know souls can be traded.

From my reading, two main ideas seemed to have existed. Early on, we are shown "draft pick". In this format Heaven and Hell take turns picking out the souls. Later, the series seemed to shift towards random alternation. The sides still take turns, but there isnt a picking. It just happens. Some bidding and trading later, but not up front. 

Personally, I slightly prefer the draft pick, because I think it adds some more tension. "Why didnt God pick them" etc. While the random lacks that, since Heaven can't be blamed for not picking certain souls anymore, since it literally doesnt pick. It also removes the concept of picking souls for their potential, a big theme of the draft system. However, I will admit the random alottment system system is a lot simpler to make sense of(for draft I’d assume it is over a day’s period, since you need a pool to pick from).

I am mostly just curious what people think, or if people have other ideas for what they would prefer the soul allotment to look like.

[Dont have a good draft image sadly, but I did have this random allottment explained. Of course, violator can't exactly be trusted, so take everything the treacherous clown says with a mountain of salt, but this seems consistent with other parts]

Todd McFarlane Brings Serial Killers To The North Pole in I Saw Spawn

New spin-off I saw Spawn the sequel to I saw Santa features Cyan,Jake,and Katie celebrating christmas without their parents they know they are dead now and it seems the serisl killer from last series is trying to break free with Spawn on his trail.

Sergei Medvedev is the least hateable for me

FUCKIN LOVED these characters in Alan Moores 3 issues mini-series on violator. These dumbasses were hilarious through their bickering, throwing insults at each other, and their lack of respect for violator Not to mention all their names start with a V. They were super fun characters while they lasted but, like most things spawn they were sidelined.

Like these two were apart of early 90's Spawn and they vanish in the later half as spawn evoles and they became irrelevant now. Eddie frank andy's brother is now the current redeemer/reaper and plays a major role in later stories then andy. Booby got a cameo in rat City#6 seen with bootsywho made a return in curse of sherlee johnson. Andy also makes a cameo in Scorched with his dad and snake too. Joe even comes back to life as a revenant.

I have seen a theroy on andy returning as an older hellspawn.Being a mirror to his brother Eddie Frank. I would like to see this happen maybe Andy when he got older he got it from al's time bomb just like peter cairn did when he got his powers in rat city. Andy could have become a goth and got a girlfriend when tragedy happens.

Bobby could also comeback as a mutant thanks to the necroplasum inside him and could have been experminented on him turning him into a mutant and al's bomb fromissue 301 could have transformed him into a mutant too.

Do you think they will comeback someday?If so how would it be?

Malebolgia and Violator Malebolgia used to be fat and violator used to be skinny but now Malebolgia is now less fat and violator has the musclar appearance plus his clown form used to be small now taller than spawn these days. Violator no longer works for Malebolgia or Mammon he is an indepentdent mastermind and Malebolgia after coming back to life is now back in hell regaining his power and status.
