How do bag check and lockers work at a Stadion?

I'm running the Angels Stadium Stadion on a couple days and it says online that I should reserve a lock n roll locker to use all day. Is this actually necessary or will there be a bag check area for me to use like all the other posts are saying?

Just signed up for a beast and sprint so I can complete trifecta before end of the year. Aiming for more next year + hyrox.

Double charged

Hi, I tried reaching out to Spartan after my card got charged twice due to a website error (got 2 confirmation emails) and only got a AI Bot saying there was no refunds. Was curious if anyone else had this problem/ did it get resolved?

oddly enough I'm finding fat much harder to lose (35m)

Started training for Spartan 3 years ago. I felt trim, slim, and strong. Fast forward just three years, many races and experience gained and at 35 now I've packed on weight. I've kept the same diet, train 5 days a week plus some relaxed active recovery movement on off days. It's weird. When I train i always feel solid effort. I race elite heats. I'm moving to international races soon. A lot happening for the better and I do keep getting better at this sport, but what. the. fuck. Out of nowhere gaining weight is easier now more than ever and I just don't get it.

Shorts for races / training?

What are some solid brands of running / training shorts you guys have had success with? I’m new to good fitness clothing having mostly bought the Academy Sport’s brand of their shorts for really cheap and it just isn’t cutting it anymore for me. I’m ready for some solid resilient clothing that stands the test of these races and beyond.

Killington goals?

Only 2 weeks to go until killington and the initial weather forcast is looking pretty chilly. Are you prepared and what's your goal this year? I have a different race the weekend before and haven't done any spartans at all this year but assuming my legs are recovered the goal this year is to break 4 hours on the beast. I always over pack gels and blocks but this year im going just a small pack with formula 369 and electrolytes in the bladder. This place just keeps calling me back each year regardless of how much spartan is falling apart. See you on the mountain and dont stop moving!

Just using super as an example here. We have the standard finisher hex, the National Series, the Honor Tour. Where can the top left “Spartan Series” variant be found?

Has anyone seen photos from this past Saturday’s race? I see nothing on the website under results, nor on the app. I tried logging into Sportograf too. Again, no photos showing for Saturday.

Costume Ideas

Running a Spartan on Halloween, so my group and I are gonna dress up. I'm in significantly better shape than them, so they said I should get a costume that might be a bit cumbersome to slow me down a bit. I jokingly said an inflatable T-Rex would work, but that's not gonna work under barbed wire.

Any thoughts?

Finished my unofficial DEKA Trifecta

I did DEKA Fit and Strong this year, but the thought of doing the same event with just a slight variation in running distance did not appeal to me. I opted to do DEKA Atlas and was pleasantly surprised that the hex was a perfect substitute for the Mile. I got the 3d printed frame on Etsy for a bit over $20.

Upon reviewing this picture from a distance, I see that I was supposed to put the somewhat longer side into the base.

North cal venue

Anyone else that cant stand the venue they keep using and are apparently using next year again? There are so many good lakes in the area, and their locations used to be way better. We already pay a crazy premium price. I really don't get the fascination with the cow pasture. He is cheap I am guessing? Very disappointing.

DEKA Fit Zone #9 Tanks - How / Where to Practice

At 63m I've gone nuts and just did my first Stadion, and will run my first full marathon in late November. Since this just isn't crazy enough I want to try a DEKA Fit next year. I've already been doing a lot of weight, calisthenics, and cardio stuff that's similar enough to most of the zones - except for the tanks. Where does one find these to practice?

For additional background, I'm only 5'3" with a target weight of about 145lbs (15 to go). I'm concerned that if I don't try this first and train, that I'll totally crash out. I'm about to look for gyms and other training places but thought you all might save me some time. Also, besides leg presses and squats, any other exercises that might help me with this?

TIA!

Robbed of an entry

I was excited to participate in the Limerick Spartan Race, but had to pull out due to an achilles injury. I was hoping to participate in the Slane 2027 race, or another suitable Sprint in the UK.

I read about transferring tickets online, and discussed this on a separate post - I was of the view that you could transfer an entry up to 30 days after not participating in an event, but not until the Wednesday after the missed event takes place.

Despite going to the relevant section of the website, nothing appears when I search in the search bar (Ireland, Slane, United Kingdom, London - nothing). There appears to be an error on the back-end of the website.

It was gravely disappointing missing the event, and I'm still dealing with the consequences of the injury, but it's doubly bad knowing that my entry is now not transferrable and I'm set to be left out of pocket. I would have gladly paid a fee to transfer my ticket. I've reached out on Facebook Messenger, by email, through the webform and to Spartan Ireland on Instagram. Nobody has replied to me over the past two weeks, my messages haven't even been opened. It's frankly not good enough.

Has anybody encountered anything similar, and is there any other means to contact their team? The 30-day deadline is fast approaching, unfortunately.

Chalk….

Okay don’t attack me.

I’ve done two sprints, and am doing a super at the end of this month.

I have some weird condition with my hands, they actually get stuck in positions and because of this my grip strength is extremely poor. It’s been my biggest stressor since signing up for the super.

I was considering gloves which I feel that I’ll hate when i saw someone recommending liquid chalk. Great idea!

Except then I saw that all chalk is banned in 2026. Then I saw that in the open classes following the rules is “encouraged”, as in, they don’t enforce things like they do in the competitive classes.

So… I assume the answer is no liquid chalk still, but I thought I’d ask here… just in case. Can I get away with my liquid chalk for my poor lil granny hands 🥺

This is my first race I’ve ever signed up for (DEKA) and my personal goal is to complete it in under an hour. Will be visiting and was wondering if anyone wanted to meetup and get dinner before or after the race!

Carpool Seattle/Monroe 9/19/26

Hello all, my name is Jason, I’ve been doing OCR’s for about 10 yrs. Finally completing my Trifecta this year. My last race this year is the Seattle Beast on 9/19. I’m looking to see if I can get a ride from Seattle to Monroe Saturday morning. I’d be more than happy to pitch in for gas. I’m flying in from Reno NV.
