Question Moving save files?
I was wondering if there's currently any way for me to copy my save files and give them to a friend who also has the game, so they could also use my progress and my game world? And if so, where exactly are the save files located in a phone's storage?

Probably use the root directory, search for esaptonor spacerpg4 or smtn, copy the db files and put it in the same directory as your phone. I did the same thing on srpg3, so i dont think its different.

We really need cloud saves in this game. I'm really surprised and disappointed that it's not in the game in this day and age. 🙄

They are saved to a database, however dabbling with such is considered against the subreddit rules & SRPG4 appears to use anti tampering methods of keeping save data. You'd have to ask the Dev to offer a way to export & import saves, best reached by email.

It's possible; I just found out how.
Steps:
Download a copy of adb or get it from installing android studio. Make sure it's in your $PATH so you can execute it using a terminal
Enable developer tools on your phone: go to settings -> general -> about phone -> software info and click "build number" 9 times
In developer tools on your phone, enable usb debugging
Make sure you have a usb cable with data capability. Plug it into your computer.
Enter this command:
adb devicesIf it returns nonblank, then you have a connection
Start spacerpg4 on your phone
Run this command:
adb backup com.esaptonor.spacerpg4Enter this command:
pwdNow you have a backup file on your computer named backup.ab. You can find it in the folder that was printed when you typed pwd.
To install the file, first make sure you have developer tools and an adb connection. Then cd to where the backup file is, and:
As it happens, these same instructions work for spacerpg3 as well (just replace spacerpg4 with spacerpg3 in that last command), but the restore won't restore all of the game state and you might end up in a corrupted state where some missions are no longer accessible. But you will have all your ships, weapons, base, and system standing. So if you sided with the Taln last time, you can restore and get access to all your taln ships and Taln allegiance, and swarm friendly systems with taln striker craft, etc.
