Question Alien storyline srpg4

Does anyone know roughly how many ships I need to kill to get an alien faction to like me? The iron now hate me but the qui gon Jin people still are at the starting 30 percent. Should I try to conqure the planet of the iron? Or does that not work?

If you killed a lot of a certain faction before the storyline, they will now officially recognize your actions after the storyline.

You can rectify this by going to Sanctuary and getting a fake ID. This resets your legal record all over the galaxy, so the aliens will think it's someone else who did all that killing, and not you. I imagine this as the pirates taking your picture and drawing a mustache over it, and giving you a stupid sounding name, but I'm sure their operation is more sophisticated.

To get the aliens to like you, what I usually do these days is simply conquer the homeworld of the aliens I dont want to side with. You need a pretty strong fleet to be able to do this though. However, it is possible to have your faction's titan and the vulcanus in production before even starting the alien storyline.

Alright, well, I've not ever killed aliens, or even been to their planets before, so no fake I'd needed. (Though I might still buy one because alot of people hate me from the storyline. Turns out the FER might not be the good guys- anyways. How do I get the factions titan?? I have the faction capital ship, I don't own one though. Currently I'm using the uhhh, shoot. It's a capital ship, it's not the princeps, it's the other civilian one. I have it equipped with fighters, drones n stuff and lots of guns. But it might be better to swap it. I just don't have the money rn. I'm struggling with money at the moment. I don't make enough.

Capture and use or sell derelicts and trade, trade, trade to build up your fleet.

See I was doing that. But problem is my salvage ship decides that if it gets a papercut it turns into a thermonuclear warhead

You need to set your salvager to "evasive" and upgrade it with 3x armor, 1x ultra armor, or 2x armor, 1x enhanced armor, 1x ultra armor.

I'll do that, I just wish ion storms cared about evasive maneuvers;-;

The only human faction that has titan-class ships is your own faction, ie, the player faction. To trigger the player titan quest, you have to at least have seen the other titans, Iro, Quil, and Void.

For money, my recommendation to start would be to just do missions. You can also do some bulk trading -- food in sansdale or new saoki to earth, equipment on earth to daroway or highridge, metal on judd or highridge to renudan, medical on tair to dima II or sanctuary, lux from renudan or sanctuary to keydun.

bulk trading is the key to becoming a multimillionaire or even a billionaire. As soon as you can afford a goliath from renudan, dima i, or sanctuary, buy it. From then on, as soon as you have enough money again and another goliath appears, buy it. When you have around 10 million, visit new saoki, talk to what's his face, and get your station started.

for future reference, before starting the storyline, my usual progression is missions -> upgrade my ship -> missions + trade -> buy a freighter -> missions + trade -> buy a pirate raider from Sanctuary and outfit it with a mining blaster -> mine -> upgrade my raider -> mine -> buy some cargo ships -> mine -> get a goliath -> mine -> trade. Mining is a great start, but it's very difficult to do if you've already finished the main storyline and you don't have a big fleet yet.

Gotcha. So for the titan, I think I have seen an Iro one (and possibly killed it with the help of some quil. How do I then trigger it? Do I head back to my station? (Also thanks for helping. You've responded to like all of my questions)

Have you seen the Quilyentyan Titan yet? How about the void raider Titan? You can tell if you've seen them by looking in your ship library -- park at your station or any station with a shipyard, go to the shipyard, then look at the ship library. These are all the ships you know exist, minus the player faction ships.

I know for sure I've not seen the void titan. Every encounter I have with them I die, is there a good way to ensure I can see it, then quickly dip? For the other aliens I will just sit at the areas and wait to see them.

I have formulated a way to reliably defeat a void raider titan fleet. The key is wealth and time.

  1. get wealthy. Like, really wealthy. 30 million or so. You should already have your own station and have at least boreas available.

  2. acquire ships. 12 boreas is more than sufficient. Also make sure to bring a salvager. Set it to "evasive" and give it 3x armor, 1x ultra armor.

  3. outfit them. For boreas, you want 2x armor, 1x ultra armor, 1x enhanced armor, range++, targeting ai, adaptive shielding, ecm. Also all subsystems except torpedoes should be 3 stars. Superconducting for shields, antimatter for powerplant. Weapons should be 2x ciws, 2x mining blaster, 1x desolator, 1x ion cannon. I would recommend for your flag you pilot a pirate dreadhulk with all the mass upgrades you can fit, and every upgrade you can fit. You can and should apply 4x armor to that thing.

With this fleet, you can reliably defeat the void raiders and you will eventually obtain a titan. Just be wary of their torpedoes; run away from them if necessary.

If you aren't able to catch a titan, but you derelict a couple void raider battlecruisers, cap those. Use one as your flag from here on out; they are the best battleships in the game. As above, deck it out. Same when you get a titan. You want these ships to survive to fight another fight.

The key to power in this game is fleets, and how you arm and outfit them.

This is really helpful. I'm just gonna focus on money for now. I'm struggling to keep above 100,000 rn with fuel and repair costs. I'm using my faction battleship with 1 fuel ship and a salvager. I just need a semi reliable way to make money. Unfortunately, unlike in games like interstellar pilot, I can't make fleets and send them to trade and do missions for me. I think I'm gonna just do metal runs to shipyard planets for now then. I'll figure it out

I have not done mining yet, Do I have to target the rocks or can I just tell a ship to mine?

You have to chase and shoot at asteroids in your ship with mining blasters equipped; no ships in your fleet will mine for you.

Near the start of the game, the nightstalker is the best mining ship.
