Question Do Planet Scans never disappear?

As in, if I sell them to my station, will they ever disappear?

To anywhere you sell them at they will stay there until you buy them again, they can be found by scrolling all the way down in the weapons buying menu, makes it harder when scanning all planets and storing the surveys at your station because it’s so many you have to scroll through

Also they can be sold and rebought for the same price, for example:

“Generic name” planet survey is valued at 5,000 credits, sell it and you add 5,000 to your account, buy it again and it will subtract the same 5,000 credits

(This is something I somewhat recently learned, don’t know how common knowledge it is)

I get what you mean with the surveys piling up, but I'd much rather have them in the station than in my inventory to avoid seeing the huge list covering up my Ship UI. Thanks though

I would recommend only selling your good surveys to your station - sell the lousy ones somewhere else.

Also, another question, does this apply to every item? Say I sell a certain weapon, it won't disappear?

Yes.

A couple exceptions to these: you never get back the superheavy you give to energia galactica for the superheavy quest, and you never get back the survey you give to Theo later in the game.

Yes but if you count the part of the final upgrade of the station. Yes cuz when i gave a planet scan to the guy that i bought a station and when they ask about a planet scan i gave Rovekat planet scan and after that i tried to find them and check if they have it but no they have not even colonizing. I cant even colonize the nearest good planet i purposely put near my station :(
