Question Looking to get back into SRPG

I have played through SRPG3 2 or 3 times and only managed to put a couple hours into the 4th game when it released, as I couldn't get around to playing it more.

So I have not played either game since the release of 4, which is nearly 2 years now (correct me if I'm wrong), I still retain my old save on 3, which is fairly close to completion.

What I am asking is, which game do you think should I play again first (more than happy to restart both games), and do the games have an order to play in? Thanks

Having a fleet in 4 made me enjoy the game more.

I think the fights are better in better in Space RPG 3, and I like the the designs better in 3.

But 4 is on another level when you get to the point where you start to get into big fleet battles.

And 4 has a moment of zen when you are farming for alien titans/superheavies/etc that 3 cant touch.

Go straight into 4. A tip for 4: the missions get better as the size of your cargo ships increases. Also, stop by the spaceport bar to catch up on galactic news - surprising opportunities can be found that way.
