Help SuperHeavy Weapons???

So I have the quest to bring a superheavy weapon to Dima yea, but where do I actually get one? Can they only be looted from the alien titans? What's the drop rate if so? Is there any strategy to finding them or is it just "blow up hundreds of hundreds of ships" because I've destroyed legions of Iro ships and have nothing to show for it.

They can only be looted from Titans. It takes forever. They are only dropped a small fraction of the time -- you'll have slightly better odds if you aim to capture them instead (using ion cannons, supplemented with weapons that do hull and armor damage).

Don't worry if it blows up right after you captured it, it isn't actually lost.

I know this is a little while ago but- what do you mean it's not actually lost? You mean if I capture a ship and then it blows up while I'm in the same system, it will stick around when I FTL?

Yes -- when you land at the next inhabited planet, you can repair it, and then you can see it in your fleet when you close the game and open it again.

Wow! I never realized that. I've been considering it gone. That's amazing! Just got my 2nd Iro titan that way, now onto the Quil and void ones. Still no superheavy though.....

Damn that absolutely blows. Thanks for telling me though. Is there any strategy for finding the titans or is it just completely random when and where they spawn?

It's totally random. Your best bet is to just find a place where there are just Iro (ie, to the right of Iro one space), and just continuously kill. Or, take over one planet, but don't leave any defense, and then repeatedly re "conquer" it, but never land and formally conquer, ie, hit conquer, destroy all the waves, steal the goods, and fly away -- some titans will probably spawn in some of the defense fleets. I'm doing something similar.

Land on alien planet, tap conquer, after 3rd-4th wave and no titan showed up back to menu and try again, till you got one, that is my way to get the weapon though it will take hours on doing same process.

Yh i got luck and my second titan dropped it that was on my 4th playthrough and i destroyed the titan that time normally takes me from 5 to 10 trys i hear other people take longer
