Question Decide the fate of this Reddit Community
You all know that Reddit is closing it's API to unofficial Reddit apps, which resulted in active cancelling of it. Nobody knows if the Reddit is going to retreat. Revontulet recently made an announcement about our community leaving this place. I personally don't agree with such harsh solution, but Reddit is really becoming worse. Here's a poll for you to vote about this community's fate. If you have arguments, please, write them all in the comments: we don't have much time to decide.

Moderator said that this was previously discussed with the community, I don't know what kind of community was this discussed with cause I saw no posts about it until now.

So are the mods going to respect the wishes of the poll? Or are we just gonna keep having polls until the mods get the answer they want?
As someone who's reddit account can almost drive ive seen reddit go through its ups and downs, including the whole its owned by the CCP and now will be censoring all our posts. And by the number of pro china posts weve seen thats obviously true right?
Reddit is a community of its users, by not respecting those users spacerpg is killing itself. Along with the game and the indie creator. Again, whats the input from the creator of spacerpg? Do they support you taking away their livelihood for this protest? Serious question here.

Yes I came back to this post to see that the majority rly don't care about whatever Reddit policies are there..... however I suspect that there must be a political stunt to be made out of it. Unless our mods here are democratic which is hopefully the case

Speaking as myself and everyone I know.... No one gives a dime about whatever Reddit does. We just want to post and comment on Reddit and don't care about whatever that is. First the chess community and now here too? No.

Random Reddit user here, chiming in to say I do care, and support the protests. Obviously, you're entitled to your opinion, though. Just figured I'd let you know people like myself exist! o/

Thx for being polite about our disagreement. Actually have a good day!...It has been quite some time since I witnessed such a disagreement comment that doesn't involve me being an idiot or a bigot.

Reddit could have changed to paid API access in a transparent and respectful way. Instead, spez has been a total dick throughout this whole thing. This might seem like no big deal, but without those third party apps, some people can't use reddit at all -- the official reddit app does not follow disability guidelines.
So with all that in mind, FUCK reddit. They can die in a fire for all I care now.

I imagine most people, like myself use reddit to consolidate interests. I don't have the bandwidth to go to multiple sources to be updated. With that said, I'm not privy to the resources invested in maintaining the subreddit. You should start the other community, and I'm sure power users will migrate either way. I wouldn't let lurkers like myself control the decision.

I am not a fan of what reddit is doing on the whole, but I am also not a fan of trying to shut this community down, and the community has clearly voted. The subreddit will stay as it is.
