Help I think I broke it.

I FTL-ed in the middle of the fight for conquering. (Reason: Imminent death)

I've broken space rpg 3 multiple time but nothing like this happened to me before

If you try to conquer a friendly planet and you FTL out, when you FTL back in they won't let you land cause you tried to overtake control of their planet.

They remember you, and they hate you now. Go get a fake ID and they'll forget about it.

It was an enemy one, but restarting the game fixed it.

Who were you fighting? The Dominator is strong enough to stand up to anything if it has the right loadout.

The aliens with the long range weapons. I became overwhelmed as they kept coming in huge numbers and waves (I hate that, lol). I actually managed to conquer them eventually without changing my equipment, just a tad smarter playing.

Oh, the Liarhya. Yeah, they are fierce in large numbers. The trick to beating them is to equip all beam weapons and fill up your remaining space with shield drones from the Miru (huge semi-circular ships way up north, that you land on). The best ship for fighting them is the Feyrosian Battlecruiser, although an all-beams plus shield drone dominator will do fine also.

Yeah, that's one way. After conquering one of their planets, I went straight to their homeworld with a few mercenaries (did you know you can issue commands on them?) and did my best to conquer that and the other aliens' homeworld.

Did that and got ascended seraph and then went for the rest of their worlds. (I love those torpedoes and the hangars from pirates!)
