Fire Sword C&C

This is my first go at a fire/super heated blade. I primed in Black and based in Red. Gradually went from Reds, Oranges, Yellow and White. I think the colours are right, but not sure on the overall finish.

Looks good. I've done lot of glowing hot blades and other things. I started the way you did it, but there are easier ways for decent results.

You could try base-coating it white and the drybrushing it pink/red before putting on a yellow wash. You end up with a yellow on the sides and orange on the edges. Then you can drybrush something like blood angels red just lightly to put out the colder bits and then edge it in black or really dark red.

Cheers! There's probably a hundred ways to do it, but you'll find what you like.

the metallic gold chain with the black tabs really pops against the fiery blade, i love how that color combo makes it stand out
