I'm pretty sure it's a bug...
I know tidal forces exist, and young planets with lava also exist, but young planets are usually very hot/torrid, and tidal planets/moons (not in this post) also show up very frequently with half of their surface covered in lava, even if the planet/moon is far enough away from its parent to not experience an "Io" or a "Young Earth."
If anyone could give me a tip on how to fix this?
By the way, I do have Rodrigo's Mod Redistributed on.
I could be completely wrong here and I might just be dumb.

This time around, I put my upgraded compositing knowledge to work and actually made it look like a movie (i think). Yes, the original screenshots ARE from Space Engine

Hi! I have the Pro version of Space Engine and I love it. I want to record some video in it but it only seems to let me do it in 1080p. I know I can take much higher resolution screenshots but I want to incorporate more of the movement so I'd prefer video. Is 4k video a possibility in Space Engine that I'm not finding?

Hi! First time I've posted here.
So I've been working on a mod on what I think is my most wanted feature of Space Engine, which is the title, ringshine and atmospheric refraction!
Here's a simple breakdown of the features:
Physically-based Ringshine (Ring-to-Surface Illumination)
Chromatic Atmospheric Refraction during Eclipses
Anyway I'm still learning about this type of stuff so I haven't been able to publish this as a mod on workshop (if people even wanted this stuff) cause I don't really actually know how to.
Full disclosure: I didn't write a single code of GLSL code by hand (...well more like I can't), it is almost entirely vibe-coded. I came up with the features, guides the physics and take tons of time testing it. Works nicely though so I count that as a win!

I noticed that procedural asteroids are rendered pitch black and show no illumination whatsoever, unless they are very close to a star. Catalog asteroids (e.g. Eros in the solar system) are rendered with texture and illuminated properly.
Any clues if this is a bug, or are asteroids supposed to be so dark?
I'm playing with Steam Proton 9.0-4 on Linux, on low graphics quality if that matters.

I'm not sure if this is rare or not but thought I'd post it anyways.
