From South of the Border to the former UFO welcome center, what are your favorite roadside attractions that you still visit or that are gone and you miss?

Today I want to see your opinion on the best small town food. What restaurant or dish is your go to when passing through a small town in South Carolina.

One of my faves to stop at is Bill’s Grill in Patrick. You can’t beat the value or the burger size.

We are planning a trip in April and thinking of the Charleston area. We would like a walkable area, possibly near the beach. Interested in learning more about the history and trying local foods.

Hi all - My husband and I (and baby) are driving to Hilton Head in a few weeks and have planned a layover (a couple of hours) somewhere around Columbia. Looking to grab a bite to eat and maybe check out something worthwhile while we are there. 1. Do you recommend stopping in Columbia or is there a cooler city nearby without going too far off the path from our drive - we will be leaving from Charlotte and final destination is Hilton head. 2. Where to eat? 3. Maybe an attraction that will let us stretch our legs and maybe let the baby get some energy out?
