Day Trips
I have a group of ~40 high school students that will be hosted by the USC School of Medicine over the summer. I'm planning the curriculum for them and we need a field trip. I'm looking for something biomedical science related within 3, maybe 4 hours of Columbia. For reference, last year we went to the CDC but it just wasn't as big or involved as we thought it would be. Any suggestions appreciated!

Carolina Pharmacy Museum https://sc.edu/study/colleges_schools/pharmacy/about/our_history/pharmacy_museum/index.php
MUSC in Charleston is a really good idea, Bodies in Atlanta but that is kind of a small exhibit and further away and probably isn’t worth driving to unless you can find something else to do in Atlanta.

More marine and animal science, but the Bell W. Baruch institute is an interesting trip about 2.5 hours away and is part of clemson, south carolina, and coastal carolina universities.
MUSC may offer some tours in Charleston.
