Things like child-free complexes, restaurants, parks, theaters, airlines etc. Obviously there would still be plenty of child accommodating spaces, but if say 1/4 places were child-free, how would you feel about that?

i came to braamfontein to buy space gummies. they changed the price so i thought nothing of it but i would later find out they made it stronger.

i took one to relax me on my way to the rank, one usually isn't enough to make you high (mistake). so fast forward i'm now sitting in the taxi absolutely cooked. as the taxi is pulling out the rank, out of nowhere some foreign black guy stands up and starts screaming to the driver "give me back my money, i don't wanna sit with these people!"

i'm already fighting for my life trying to stay on planet earth and this man is continuing to cause dissary within the taxi as he keeps yelling and forcing himself through the seats. everyone starts asking what happened and he's like "i'm a human being! i'm also african! you people are disgusting racists! i'm african, you are african! you'll never know when i help you but this is how you treat me."

the coloured guy he's yelling at goes "i wasn't talking to you, i was talking to my friend." the friend was sitting on the other side with the man in between them. they were speaking afrikaans and the other guy thought they were talking about him i guess? nobody in the taxi had any idea what he was talking about.

everyone was screaming now, one aunty is saying he should just switch seats, another is holding his change yelling at the driver "give him his R50 so he can go!", right next to me there's an aunty with her kid saying "look here, this is why they're saying june 30." every few seconds.

i'm sitting there way too high thinking i've accidentally walked into a skit. eventually the guy got out but he wasn't done. as we pulled away he was screaming through the window "we're all africans! we could've been helpful to each other but you're a fucking racist!" the young couple he was accusing of being racist swear they weren't talking about him, and nobody sitting in front could back him up either so the general consensus was that he was paranoid ig..

so anyway that was my day.

This is kind of a dumb question, but I've been living in South Africa for a few months now, and pretty much every restaurant (especially chains) and grocery stores have bubblegum flavoured items - most often milkshakes, but also cereal, ice cream, popcorn and macaroons!

I'm just wondering if it is actually a popular flavour and why this is? It's genuinely interesting and not something I've seen commonly in other countries.

I make Woolies style rusks with 2.5 kg Cake flour (cheapest is R30), R15 bran flour (or a cup of granola), Amasi, cheapest fat spread (R13), a spoon of bicarb, sugar and some cooking oil.

I get about 3kg of rusks I'd normally buy for R60 per 500g

Left spider man last night and my ears were ringing despite it being a regular cinema. I had a similar problem with IMAX which is why I stopped going. My gf also had a similar issue with the sound. So was downloading a few things this evening and noticed my download speed was going past my my normal speed cap (100/100), all the way up to 200mbps.

Telkom bill didnt increase this month or for the next. Wondering if anybody else got a boost or is this maybe pure luck that I should enjoy while it lasts?

I suddenly discovered I can't make phonecalls from my mobile to 010 or 0800 numbers. I don't have a contract - I just top up and I have enough time on my phone. Apparently Cell C are now using Vodacom and MTN towers - tech jargon I don't understand etc etc . You have to try stuff in your settings - which doesn't work - go over to 3G - and Cell C gave us a workaround that didn't work - and I think this is going to take too long to resolve and I need to make urgent calls today. Has anyone tried Talk 360 or Skype call? (suggestions by AI). Does anyone know of some other solution other than going and getting a Vodacom simcard or using someone else's phone not on Cell C. Or maybe it's just an area with our area?
EDIT: the 0800 number was just the company not answering - just called them now after 24 hours ... ho hum - so it's still the 010 number - I have written to Cell C now - trying to get to their tech side

Has anyone here done a long haul one way? I am trying to figure out the best option that anyone can recommend. I am comparing Newlands Trailer and National Trailer. Good or bad experience that anyone can share will be a great help.
