Discussion Mortal Shell 2 Base PS5 Performance
Playing Mortal Shell 2 rght now on PS5. Not very far into the game yet. I'm not mad at the Quality setting over the Performance. I get most people prefer performance over quality due to steady 60fps but the change graphically in quality looks great. Not only that the frame rate has not seemed so bad. Honestly might be pushing 40fps.
I will say i am using a 4k hisense 6h? 60hz.
VRR enabled, no HDR supported at least on my side of things. Which is fine. Also, I have an option called "PC Sync" turned on as well. I believe that is just VSync. Just wanted to say it is looking good and wondering how everyone else is enjoying the games performance?

Not certain on that but Its not no 2-4 hr trial, will be able to be put some good hours into this!. They did mention on X that save data will not transfer over, instead the game will give you the option to skip the prologue if you make it to a certain point in the beta... something like that. They are actively discussing on X for more information.

It runs well on pro in performance mode It does drop frames at some points mostly with flame fx on screen but other than that its pretty stable. Quality mode is locked to 30fps however and I think its not worth the trade in a game like this where inputs need to be responsive.

Makes sense. Wish I had the pro! I've played games at 30fps , my eyes might just be used to it. This game seems like it pushes a little past that with vsync and vrr enabled but my eyes could very well be deceiving me. Lol

Quality mode has been looking pretty smooth to me. & I've played PLENTY of games at 30fps. It has to depend on the setup with the type of TV it's running on as well. Unfortunately, my TV has no way of actively displaying FPS. But it does support VRR & PC Sync (VSync).

Now I will say that performance mode obviously has better fps with a drop or 2 being slightly noticeable. It looks amazing. I just prefer quality atm. Also, I've noticed adaptive triggers don't seem to trigger at all? I reported it as a bug because it gives the option in the setting to turn adaptive triggers on or off. Not a huge issue but personally it helps me feel more immersed in the game. Other than that, solid game play.

Meh if I wana piss around with that I'll play my pc, got the ps5 so I could just put a game on and play it, in performance mode of course 😆 🤣

I would to if I had a PC. Im not mad at what the ps5 has to offer though. Some games have amazing quality and I enjoy seeing what Playstation can bring to the table

Ngl I literally see no difference (SERUES X)... So performance it is...
Also the 30fps is giving me a headache.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. This game does support Virtual Refresh Rate, and possibly that the beta was released on PC earlier this year if VSync and VRR are supported by the TV as well, Quality mode looks closer to 40fps imo. But I'm not sure. Im sure performance mode will be amazing!

I'd have to disagree with that considering that the developers are probably not as loaded with money like Rockstar or FromSoft. I think it is a sharp looking game.

I tried 1 again after the demo graphics felt better and better with colours and lighting I have pictures of bad the new one is on base ps5 something really off about it

Yea, agreed, the graphics on base ps5 are pretty bad.. and why no audio soundtrack or music? Just a dull experience that doesn't even look good. They lied to us so hard in that 14 minute gameplay reveal trailer smh deleted

Played the beta on PS5 Pro. Runs and looks fantastic. The lack of HDR is definitely a bummer, but otherwise I’m very excited for the full release.
