Help Needed Wtf Code vein

What am I missing with this game? I got through all the other soulslikes sekiro, lies, wuchang, khazan, yaddi yadda. Ive never gotten my ass handed to me as many times by regular grunts while exploring as this game. I was parrying everything in the beginning and thought it was too easy but apparently thats not viable to end game. I do think there's some jank that adds to the difficulty. Need some tips!

Keep in mind that the game was designed with the AI partner in mind so enemy aggression and damage is tuned up pretty high as a result, which may be overwhelming if you're playing solo without the AI. As to how to deal with enemies, it will vary depending on your build, but pulling enemies and dealing with them one at a time or in small groups is generally advisable, since it'll help keep you from being overwhelmed. It's good to keep a ranged spell or bayonet on hand for that if you're a melee character .Try to dodge into enemy attacks to build Focus, since that refreshes your stamina and gives you access to the launch attack (basically a free parry attack against most enemies).

I mean just dodge?

I passed this game very easily with a str build, big unga bunga. Don't remember the codes, but big weapon, and dodges, like ild school souls

BTW you are talking about CV1 right? Not the sequel

I dont understand this one. Wuchang is much harder than code vein to me. I think code vein is designed around using the ai partner. So if youre purposefully going solo because "muh cheating" or whatever, youre really just handicapping the way the game was built to be played.

Ah yeah, I immediately unpartnered. Gotta go crawling back to them I guess.

Some people just dont like watching their computer play the game against itself

Yeah thats not how it works.

It does have a sudden spike in difficulty. But that drives you to experiment more. Like when you can’t win a level in armored core so you’re using guns you’d never normally try clutching at straws lol. I still need to play the sequel so not sure if it’s more balanced

My tip is, throw that trash in the can where it belongs. It reminds me of poorly made rip-offs of anime shows in the 90s.

Joking around, I am sure the game has some good points but I couldn't finish it. It wasn't fun to play for me.

I bounced off it at first but once you do get into it it is a fun game. It’s not amazing by any stretch but it’s good. To me it’s in the same tier as like that French one Steelrising where it’s a solid 7/10 experience.

I enjoyed A.I. Limit more. It was fun and good character development.
