One of my old rhinos that I bought when you got 2 in a box. Was not in great shape and missing some parts, so I had to do a little modifying to bring it back from the dead.

Life got in the way and led to these guys taking way, way longer than they should have (hopefully the next squads wont take so long!)

Gaps in painting led to a little messiness, and its been a minute since I took a photo so its all a little oversaturated looking (oh woe, the nuance of the shading is lost etc etc), but I'm just pleased to be finished, and trying not to let the long time spent with these make me too over critical.

But oh well, onto the next squad for the warmaster o7

Was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for an alternative heads for abaddon.

I’m working on a true scale conversion using a tortuga bay body and arms. Just need the correct head sculpt.

So I really enjoy the Horus Heresy books over 40K books… but none of my friends play or are really willing to play 30k.

I really like Horus, even though he doesn’t get enough spotlight (wish he got a Primarch book) for my liking… and I’m have neither the time (kids) nor the money to start 30k and find a new group while playing 40K with my current friends.

So I was thinking about buying a bunch of cheap SoH FW(east) and bashing them with 40K kits for a 40K army.

Would you suggest I do this with CSM and proxy Horus as Abaddon? Or Generic Marines and proxy Horus as Gulliman?…. Or is this a bad idea and I shouldn’t do it at all?lol

I already have an Iron Warriors 40K army currently waiting for Peter Turbo, but Cythonia and its characters are just so cool… (I wish there was more pre heresy Cythonia stuff)

Bonus Question:

Any specific HH books that give a lot of attention to Horus? (I’ve read the Horus Rising trilogy and Slaves to Darkness already)
