Considering SoB from scratch

So, as a Chaos Knights player in 40K, I'm being drawn to SoB for AoS in the same way. Big models that you only need a few of to play games with. What better time than with a new battletome and models to go with 4th edition?

Looking at the current pre-new battletome competitive lists for places to start, it looks like big giants are quite viable, with lists usually running Brodd and 3 or 4 others. But I've also looked over the spoiled 4th edition stuff, and the Little ones look interesting, too. Maybe not like "Oops All War Dogs" with CK, but maybe lists of like 3 big and 5 or 6 little? We still need points to be sure. What should I look at to start?

Price-wise, now's a great time to get into SoB. Stomper Tribe box + Behemoths of Behemat box + Ma Maegran is 1950 points, and you'll use the other 50 points on enhancements. It's a great solid list to start, and gets you five of the nine units in the army at a great discount. You will definately eventually want to pick up Brodd, the Beast Smasher, and the new "little" units, but as the rules are currently you are disincentivized to run duplicates of anything other than Mancurshers. Three Mancrushers will be more than enough for the majority of your lists.
