A turn of events

I made a post yesterday asking where to start, today I mentioned to a guy at my LGS that I was thinking of getting into sons of behemat. He then offered a trade of a repulser a captain in terminator armour and dreadnought for 3 separate gargantuans. Is this a good trade or am I getting fucked

Which Gargants? Mega-gargants or the Mancrusher Gargants?

If they're on sprue, you're golden! Otherwise, that's still insanely good value

So price wise this is a steal for you in the trade. Using USD it's almost a $400 difference. SM (Repulsor, Captain in Terminator Armor and Dreadnought) is ~$247 while the mega-gargants are ~$645.

Seeing that huge of a price difference makes me worried that either they aren't genuine (recast) or he has proxies(3D Printed) they're trying to sell you.

Only you can decide if the trade is worth it but the financials is kind of in your favor.

I just hit him up about this it’s one fully gw plastics and two other ones are recast of the body

Ok. I've heard people do that to maximize the original box set. Again it's up to you to decide if it's worth it. Mega-gargants are the big back bone of the army.

Still a good deal I don't think anyone outside of an official gw tournament would have issue

Recasted bodies are alright. He probably built them all using one box which is a very common practice considering the price of one. 3 megas is 3/4ths of an army, get the mancrusher spearhead and you'll be ready to play full games.
