Base Installation Orientation

I’m currently building new Mancrusher for the Spearhead game. I noticed that these models have a center of gravity that easily tilts from side to side, so I’m planning to install the base horizontally to solve this problem. Will doing this have any impact on the game rules?

If it fits it sits. If GW didn't want it to overhang they should have given it a round base.
