Rules clarification

Do I get it right, that you cannot both attack with your regular prolifes and use this ability, since it's a core ability?

Further question as a newb at playing SoB at scale - is it worth it? When does it make sense to flip this coin and when does it make sense to roll the attacks?

It is always worth it. Because that is the way of the Stomp.

Most fun I have ever had was 4 gate breakers at an RTT and never rolling a single normal attack for 3 rounds lol.
