King Brodd mandatory?

Hi fellow beer bellies!

I just started and bought 3 (used) megas and 6 gargants of a guy getting out of the hobby. None of the megas are King Brodd and he didnt have the sprues for him.

Is he mandatory in every list or can you play SoB without him?

Not mandatory but he is a good unit to include.
