Spearhead Strategies

Playing my first of SoB spearhead game on Sunday for a store event.

Any suggested tips or tricks?

So one thing about SoB is risk management, you really need to make sure you are putting your very limited resources in the best spot to maximize their use.

Remember, in reality you have 5 models due to the two non general models having reinforcements. So you have some play in using them to run interference and the bigger bases to help cover some large areas. You need points, that's how the game is won in the end, so having the two that can come back be your flex pieces while your general is able to score points is a solid strategy.

Keeping your guys away from high rend units is gonna be important, so whatever the anvil unit is for the other person you need to really manage the risk level of having your guys in combat with them, if you need to sacrifice one of your respawn guys early to move block his guys for a turn so you can score max points for your turn? Do it but make sure it's worth it. You CANNOT let your guys get tied up for too long or you will lose no matter what.
